Finally got news from the CIC office after multiple emails.
Great.....

Sorry to hear about the bad news. It doesn't mean they will reject your application. I agree with diyabrar, it is simply a big red flag to apply for trv or multiple trv's, before marriage. However, I was under the assumption, once on the interview queue, no additional docs will be accepted? Or maybe they just won't respond or acknowledge any further correspondence.? Also, I recommend preparing now to be safe. Read some of Hassan9999 posts.

Good luck johhnycage.

For future applicants, in my mind, it is simply not worth the risk applying for TRV until AFTER submitting PR application.

Thanks Koifish76. My main concern is not that our application will be rejected (our relationship is genuine and really that's not hard to prove), but the waiting time that has just dramatically increased. There is no chance she will get a TRV before she obtains her PR, so it means I'm still stuck with back and forth in Thailand for an indefinite period of time, AND that our "normal" life is still on hold.

Well at least you guys will have an up to date interview queue delay report... hehe

I, for one hate to see anyone get the interview request. It makes little sense to me, that The Ottawa visa office (handling usa applicants plus some others) are now processing the ENTIRE applicants application in 1 month! That means, from after sponsor approval to COPR in hand! Us, though have to wait long enough as it is, plus an additional who knows how long if on interview queue.

So, I hope it is not too long for you, and due to very little information provided on this thread, It is really hard to predict how long you will have to wait, as very few people would have the patience to post on here regarding the wait time for interview. Understandable as well.

No, if you go to monthly blogs for spousal immigration, you all will be surprised to see that some months like Jan and Feb there is not a single applicant for Singapore Visa office. I think people feel discourage to marry at home country seeing 30 months waiting time in SVO to bring their spouse. After marriage people are not interested to spend time with SVO people rather then spending time with their newly wed spouse.

So number of applicants gone down tremendously.

Shaw, congrats on receiving PPR so quickly, how do you check number of applicants by month?

Tdot123, He was just referring to forums and blogs. Not an official website run by CIC. There is no published data until the end of the fiscal year I believe.

However, reading posts and other website forums from THailand (such as thaiontario, and ladyinter) and Bangladesh (which has one I am sure), one can see the lack of people applying in Jan and Feb.

Hehe my wife reads ladyinter a lot too :)

Thanks Koifish, I am new to this forum and trying to get my head wrapped around :)

I saw a discussion on potential interview due to TRV/student visa refusal prior to marriage. I believe this applies to TRV/student visa to Canada, they don't care if it was to other countries right?

I am new in this forum. My wife,s application is in process from July 30, 2014.I applied in Dec 3, 2013.I don't understand why my wife still didn't get passport request.

Where is your wife from? Has she received any communication before from Singapore? Does your ECAS show the right address ? If both are yes, then just wait another week or so. It can take 3-4 weeks sometimes.

Also, when did you do police and 1st medical?

They don't even know if it's another country unless it's US

Depends on the specifics. Without more information, it is hard to answer.

Johnnycage mentioned USA, they would know. However, I would be reluctant to hide anything. Any form of misrepresentation, and they find out, you have put yourselves in a deep hole.

One day I was bored, tried to translate a page from ladyinter into English.....it was the most hilarious read. Terrible translation...nothing made any sense.
