Yes in all cases it's a good sign. Like you said, at least you know they are working on your application. My wife's application was received January 28 and still nothing from them, not even an acknowledge. I am still waiting for the GCMS notes. My wife sent them an email regarding the silence. Another worry I have though, everytime it seems an interview is required, they ask for something first, then like a month later, an interview letter comes. I hope this is just a standard question to help the vo check off on one of the many criteria they look at at the preliminary review. ECAS still shows application Received and I expect it to remain that way for quite some time.
