Have you received your GCMS notes yet?
I don't know why they are taking so much time! My wife applied for the notes on 22nd June and not yet received. She sent reminders mentioning tracking number.

My wife picked up her passport today at Dhaka VFS. All in order, arrives in September. Thanks everyone for you kind helpful support.

Congrats! Yours is the 4th fastest time since I began tracking posters on these forums. (Sept 2012 to present)

Only 267 days. :o

I am very surprised to see the Singapore doing very fast family sponsorship and glad to see how happy couples are when reunite with other half :D.

So my status: "Sponsorship Application Status - Decision Made" and "Permanent Residence Application Status - Application Received" On Jan 2014 got an letter from Singapore about my wife being on interview list and approx. time is 24 months. >:( I am pissed!

Anyone on same boat as me?

I am member here since 2008 :| Ai Caramba :-\

That sucks. I'm really glad so far my interview is waived, because waiting 2 years just for an interview is ridiculous. As I always say, spend a couple extra days on your PR application, save a couple years waiting.

How CIC/SVO can mis-spell your wife name ?

Because IMM 0008 form has barcode and CIC only scan that form and all the data go to their system within 5 seconds. Your Lawyer most probably wrongly spelled the name of your wife in IMM0008 form.

No mistake was on their part I personally checked the documents. My lawyer sent them emails three times regarding this. And at last I guess they started reading the email ad they corrected her name on ecas w/o any notice, I was really surprised to find out the name being corrected.

Congrats and thanks for sharing. Things are looking rosy for SVO: heartening for us!

She received the PPR within 6 days from ECAS status change in Dhaka Address? Have they mentioned about the notarized version of nikahnama?

As far I, know, nikahnama is never part of documents to be submitted..

Thanks ..

Sorry for the late reply...

Yes it was only 6 days...

Although its not a Doc check listed doc, but they requested since they are informed that BD muslim marriages consist of three docs....:)

I have seen several cases whom requested for the same (on FSW app)....

Hello!

There is a spelling mistake of my wife's name on their record. Mistake is on their part, we submitted correctly spelled name on the application. When we came to know mistake is on their part, my lawyer emailed them 3 times for last 3 months duration. But they did not fix it, on the last letter we got from them they still spelled it wrong.

Do you know what would be the consequences if the name is not fixed?

Send another email to below ID mentioning "URGENT" on the from of the subject:

I landed on Aug 10 at Montreal with my wife. We had 4 suitcases full of her books, clothes and all other essentials. She had a lot of jewellery on her carry on bag.
It took us almost 4 hrs to clear immigration. The officer asked her our marriage date and educate her on condition 51 as she is sponsored by me. Then sign the COPR and tell us to wait.
Then later he called us again and welcome her in Canada and gave some guides, books etc and asked us how many baggage we brought and whats inside. I told them I already filled up the B4 form with the stuff I can think of with CAD values. He was very happy and asked for that. I gave that and he went through the list and the values one by one. my total value was around 20000. He didnt ask for any jewellery receipts and thank God didn't open our bags as while we were waiting they were opening up bags one by one of other immigrants.
The thing they are concerned about seems like with the team "gifts" as everyone say gifts but they need specific on that like what sort of gifts as it could be anything.

That's pretty much it.

Medical is valid for 1 year... so you won't need a remedical as they intend to issue the visa with an expiry date of 1 year from when the medical was done

I have seen different dates for PCC... some say they are valid for 3 months and others say for 1 year

You are getting very close to the end
