Anyone know of someone who lost their passport when Singapore sent passport back? My tracking number with VFS shows left Singapore on June 12 and it should only take 1 day 2 max to reach Vietnam. It is now June 19 and still nothing.

Passports are usualy sent in batches with lot of other passport inside a diplomatic bag. It is almost impossible to lose a passport.

Please check with your VFS regarding the status of you passport.

Thanks for your prompt reply, my wife already called and they have nothing. Just told us to use the tracking number provided which is pretty useless as it does not show where document is currently. QPH already has his passport and it was sent on June 16. He got it the next day June 17. This is pretty frustrating as the amount of time this VO has wasted already and I've already booked flights to Vietnam and back to Canada.

I think that i am lucky with my VO. 4 weeks after the interview i emailed them, 2 hours later I got the reply with remed, 4 weeks after the remed I emailed them again and 8 hour later I got the reply with passport submiting form...Now we got our passport back (3) with a little more than 3 weeks.

Thank you VO, whoever you are....

Why won't the tracking number show where the passport is currently...? When my wife got her tracking number, she was able to find out where her passport was, at all times... :)

Here's a tip: plug in the tracking number to the Singapore Post's website. And once the document has reached Singapore, plug it in to the Vietnam Post's website (that's what my wife did; except that for the latter step, she plugged in the tracking number to the Indonesian Post's website instead.)

Congrats .. Almost done .. when I submitted mine the trend was 20/25 days to get the PP back via VFS but for me it took almost 2 months.

So no definite answer on that but usually consider 1 month.

cheers.

Hi all,

I have filed an appeal with the IAD Registry Office of Montreal in January 2014. If the idots from CIC believe that they could destroy my marriage by refusing to issue the permanent residence visa to my wife, they're only deluding themselves.

They believe wrongly that a long wait of 2 or 3 years to appear before the judge will discourage my wife and I and make us break. Ha! Ha! Ha! They're so wrong! They should be aware that all the trials and obstacles that they impose on us unfairly will only strengthen the love that we feel for each other. The only person who would be the most unfortunate will be our future child to be born in Vietnam. He will live the early years of his life away from his father, but the day will come when all our family will be reunited here in Canada. No! We will never let the shabby decision of an incompetent official ruin our happiness!

Last Friday, I received a package from the IAD containing some pieces of evidences. Curiously, they did not include the strongest evidences in my favor! It's obvious they do withhold information. Therefore, I myself will send the evidence to IAD.

When will be my hearing before the judge? According to your experience, how long could be the wait after receiving the package? 6 months? 12 months? 18 months? 2 years?

Thank you very much.

We have a question. What was that most important evidence that you have not received from IAD and what could be the reason ? It is really so much painful for many of us to remain separated from our loved ones for a long long time due to completely unaccountable bureaucracy stemmed from incompetent set policies.

Haven't heard too many updates for a while. Looks like SVO is slow again.

Agreed with you!!! They are just taking their own sweet times!!! I was just wondering how they would access our application during the first initial review. Can someone share some lights?
