Hi people,

CIC Singapore just sent me a letter Headlined -Case Status

in that letter its written that.

-Y- you are on our interview list our next contact with you will be to advise you the time and date. Please wait to hear from us.

-Y- please be advised applications which require interview fall outside normal processing standards. The current queue for an interview is approximately 25 months. While you application is awaiting interview we will not accept respond to,or attach your file any correspondence, except: change of address or contact information, including change of email address;change of immigration representative;change of martial status of family composition; request for withdrawal of your application.

Also they sent the evidence that we submitted and told me to bring those with me in the interview.

So its a sure interview isn't it?

Same country as you, but his application went fast because he has no red flags. Once a file goes into In Process, it means the relationship part of the application has passed, now they just focus on your medical and criminal background. If yours is taking longer, either you're on an interview list or your relationship background has some red flags.

There may be some tangible changes as the CIC minister has changed from Jason Kenny to Chris Alexander. Jason Kenny has misrepresented his immigrant friendliness to the wider immigrant community. Chris Alexander benefits from Jason Kenny doing all the leg work at applicants expense. Jason Kenny did envision that south asian family class immigration was not fitting the Conservative party values. So think for yourselves and remember your pain and suffering when you cast your ballot. Conservatives will never embrace immigrants. It is against their true values.

Due to various Conservative scandals, soft economic recovery and lowest approval for sitting Conservatives the government is trying to redeem itself in the eyes of immigrants as all the elections are looming. This is their legacy shaping period. They know in their heart of hearts that immigrants are easy. Immigrants will cast a ballot in their favor if the immigrants can be duped by half truths and hope of pie in the sky untruths. Its politics as usual. My regret is that so many applicants are collateral damage for their time, patience and hope at the alter of Conservative policies. Remember your story and those of others when you cast your ballot.

The small ray of sunshine is that the case workers have been catching up with their own backlog. Although this is subject to longer term scrutiny.

It took my wife from Bangladesh three months to get visa after status change to "in process". By the way i had to wait 11 months for status change to in process. Good job! They will ask you to submit the passport if they haven't already.

My one is not under the red flags but I don't know why it took 18th month :( ...they don't even ask me for anything just after 18th month status changed that's it.its really a long waiting for both of us with out any red flag...really depressing :(

It is great to see SVO picking up their speed a little bit :P

But everyone must remember that each visa officer processes things differently... just hope you get one that is pretty quick

This is a long journey and it definitely tests your patience ... over and over and over again

Everyone may think that they don't have any red flags in their applications but remember that the visa officer is looking at paper and sometimes it doesn't show the genuineness of your relationship... and every officer sees things differently :(

This is a long process but believe in the happy ending when you are finished with SVO

Happy June 1st
