When did you send your passport? Has your ecas changed to "decision made" yet?

My husband submitted his passport today at VFS. The final wait has started!

My wife also submit her passport and requested documents on 26th May at Dhaka VFS

We almost have the same timeline.
Let's keep in touch ~~

I received an email response from SVO a month ago stating that my application was pending final review. After that I applied for a GCMS report that I got it today. But I am not understanding what those means in 28 pages. Here is my timeline

Applied June 2013
File transferred to Singapore July 2013
Status changed to In Process on May 12, 2014.
My wife is from Bangladesh.

Can anyone tell me what could be the next outcome?

Just keep hoping , they had her passport for 4 months before they sent it back . I want to thanks everybody that help me in this forum , without you I would have been still in the dark !!!

wish you all good luck !!!

Congrats!!!! :) :) :). Too long man. Sucks they made mistakes but all is good now. Have a safe flight and if you don't mind sharing you and your wife's landing experience on June 4, I would love to hear about it. How are you shipping over your wife's contents ? What can I expect the costs to be from Thailand as well?

Oh, and did you ever decide to forward more proof and documents of your trips together while application was in Singapore?
Bet you are excited, full of plans this summer with your wife!

Hey Guys, Im currently waiting for my SA. they recieved my file on the 7th of April. Iv got a small thing nagging me tho in the back of my mind. I submitted my husbands police clearance which I gave them and it was already 4 months or so 'old" before I got it because it took soo long from the time they issued for it to be sent to us. I re-submitted an application for another PPC and i submited the form to cic (stating that i had applied and that it was being processed). Does anyone know if this will be a problem?
Also I gave an explanation email correspondances and the form that indicates nothing short of going back to india would my husband be able to get a PPC for the time he was there to study....already been 2.5 years since he left india ( hes malaysian and submitted the ppc as mentioned above from malaysia)
Any idea if it will be a problem?? Rly praying i dont get an incomplete application due to this.

Good luck with your case hopefully we will all get our passport this week.

it takes less than 30days to get GCMS notes. the earlier u do it, the better

hey everyone, i am looking at others post and see that it takes more then a month for them to send the passport back from singapore with the PR seal, is it true? My passport was sent on 6th of may and I am expecting a baby in june 18th in Canada. Do you think I will get my passport by 10th June (a little more then a month) so I can be there for the baby?

Its stressing me so much.

yup, it take longer than 1 month. i'm still waiting for status to be changed to decision made and i have submitted since 28th march. Quite a number of us that have submitted on last week of march/first week of april are still waiting. you can write in to sgvo to appeal and they might expedite for you or advice that they return the passports back to you so that u can fly over to be with the baby and then resubmit again.

Thanks for your advise and I appreciate it. Although i notice that your category is different then mine if i am not wrong, is it so that this might be different for my category. Also they mention that it should not take more then a month. My wife in Canada have already asked her MP to request to expedite the process so i can be there at the time of the baby's birth. I am still going to send an email to svo as you said that might help. I dont know what else to do. They didnt give any other ways to have the passport moved, some cases they allow the applicant to fly to singapore and get it done in 3 days. this is so stressful.

thanks though

Hi Smahmud

Ask your wife in Canada to go to her family Physician and ask the Family Physician to send an email to SVO requesting them to issue you visa quickly so that you can be with your wife at the time her delivery of child.

Hi Everyone,
It has been a while since I was here on the forum. Would like to share some good news with you all, to give you hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel. My wife is with me since january on a tourist visa. That's not the good news. The good news is the Singapore office has sent her a letter in Bangladesh asking for her passport, 4 immigration pics, police clearance and medical. They also stated that once they receive all the documents they will issue the PR Visa within 30 days. As you guys can see in my timeline that it only took less than 11 months for them to process everything. Which means that if papers and documents are submitted correctly things can be done faster.

Now, I need you guys to advice me on this. Does my wife really need to get the medical again? She doesn't want to go through unneccessary radiation from X-Rays, plus it will be a complete waste of $650. On the letter they stated that if they don't receive the new medical results within 30 days, they will proceed with the old results, which MAY result in the refusal of PR visa. Which I highly doubt. So, please advice. Thanks and good luck to you all.
