Congrats Kbean!

Did you guys get your medical done before the request? My wife's medical is about to expires in a month, is there any written rules that you can not go ahead and get your medical test done before CIC issue the medical request? This paper work delay is really holding back our lives. Just trying to get ahead of the ball game.

My wife did her re-med after the request because we didn't know how long our application would take. But it doesn't hurt to enquire with CIC about it

Vietnam2013, I think they will ask your wife to do a remed. The landing has to be done before the medical expires. For cases that very close to expiry, I have seen cases where they issue the visa and the applicant has to land within a week or 2. It might be pretty right for them to request for passport, stamp it etc within the one month timeframe. Think it might be a good idea to write to them and inform them that the Medicals are expiring and ask if there is a need to do a remed. Probably that will bring your file to their attention

I wish I can see the glass half full like you. hahahaha....being positive and hopeful is running low.

I will probably inquire about it, but I pretty much know the response I will get. lol

Sounds like I can get my wife to do the remedical. $100 usd for another 365 days . Probably the only way to get things moving a little quicker. We can only control this part of the process.

just checked VFS site with the tracking number and the passport is on its way back to Bangladesh. They sent it back on May-05. yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
hopefully within 2/3 days will get it back.

Apr-12 it got decision made and I sent my PP through VFS center. My wife submitted her PP on Mar-11, they sent it to Singapore on Mar-13 and SVO received it on Mar-17.

Hi guys,

Just a thought: if the SVO returned a passport via registered mail, do you think internally they'd have a tracking number (provided by the Singapore Post) for the package then? In other words, in the unlikely event that something unexpected happened to the package during transit, would the SVO be able to trace its whereabouts?

Yup I live in Singapore, the office only opens every Wednesday from 830am till 930am. I think I will head down next Wednesday if there's still no news, next Wednesday will be my 5th week of waiting.
