Oh no TTL, how did u manage to explain to your boss?

i don't have passport and i cannot travel.

my current work permit in canada is also expiring in two weeks time!

Think u should email them and explain your situation.

Anyway for those waiting for passports to be returned, when do u plan to land on Canada?

Catch 22!! :o

Are you gonna be able to extend your work permit from within Canada? Would you encounter problems if you didn't get your passport within the next 2 weeks??

Can anyone provide me with an email or a phone number to call regarding my wife's passport? The backwards Ecas status and whatnot? It says they started processing feb 12, they requested her passport but the stats says "application recieved" now. I'm so worried I feel I'm getting sick

Here's an enquiry form:

Beside "Enquiries", click on the "Case specific" link (the one that starts with https://dmp-portal.....). I'm deliberately not posting the direct link because everytime the URL is clicked, a unique ID is assigned.....not sure how important that is....but I'm just playing it safe.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/singapore.asp

Email addresses:

Singapore-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca

Phone number: 1-888-242-2100 (only works from within Canada).

It's better to submit your enquiry using the enquiry form and email address though (that way you'll reach the Singapore office directly). If you call them, and agent in Canada will answer, and most likely they won't know as much as the SVO about what's going on with your application...

And as a last resort, you can always ask your MP to help you... :)

Has anyone tried case specific and gotten a better reply then just emailing them?

can extend the work permit online. but this brings extra cost for the company.

boss is going to kill me.

I can't fill in the info for th case specific because its giving me an error when I put in my email. It's says "email must be name@domain.xyz"

Any idea what this means? I used to email that's linked to my application

That's really, really bizarre..... O.o so under "Enquirer Identification", there's "Email address:" right? So in it you put whatever@yourdomain.com and you got that error? That's really weird......it should work, even if the email is not linked to your application...

Make sure that there's no space before, within, and after your email address.....it really should work... =)

think if i don't hear from this week, i'm really tempted to go down personally to their office next wednesday to ask about it, and see what they say.

on the side note, someone from the skilled workers forum that submitted passport to singapore on 21st march has received their passports on 28th april. so maybe they are doing it in batches. Hopefully they can be done with issuing before they go for their summer vacation!!
Wow .. sent PP on Mar-11 and still nothing. so it looks like may be I have to wait till May-11 :( hopefully by than will get PP back ..

not sure why they would even collect passport from visa exempt countries.
will the copr be issued via email , separately through snail mail or together with the passport.

what else are we expecting. can the seniors advice?
