How do you guys figure out what exactly they are working in the office? like busy processing student visas?

Do you have friends working there or it is just a plain guess?

They are I'm sure just guessing Canada has separate offices for separate visa needs ... Just looked it up

one fellow applicant submitted passport on 19th March, and received passport back today...seems like there's no change in status either... let's keep our fingers crossed!

When did you send your application? When did it arrive at CPC-M? When did it arrive at the Singapore visa office?

"Status: Recommend Interview" most likely means that you will need to attend an interview.....and the queue is normally around 1 year. And yes, the interview would be in Singapore.

Here are some sample interview questions:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/what-kind-of-questions-do-they-ask-in-the-interview-t47091.0.html;msg345377#msg345377

By the way, have you got any red flags in your application?

- What's the age difference between you and your spouse?
- How did you guys meet?
- What relationship proofs did you send?

It takes then a month to reply!! So that really doesn't help :(

Hmmm I don't see anything out of the norm (other than the fact that the groom is 2 years younger than the bride. But that's not that big of a deal; probably a negligible issue)......everything seems genuine, you guys dated for a long time, and you provided good relationship proofs too.....as well as good amount of communication proofs.

Was this your and her first marriage?

How many people attended the ceremony?

In a past post, you wrote that her parents don't like you. Did they attend the wedding? Did they eventually accept you?

(I honestly don't understand why you require an interview!! :o)

Thank you.
Yes first marriage for both, more than 200 people joined the ceremony(photo proof given) , the good thing is they accepted me but couldn't join the event as the event was in our homecountry they have a school going child. They provided a explanation signed letter for that. Only thing that could be the reason behind interview is a past "Canadian student visa refusal" in 2010 before marriage.

By the way can you tell me how to check whether there is a redflag or not in the GCMS? and possibly how long it can take to complete the whole process.

What country is the applicant from?
That is where the interview will be held... not in Singapore
The Visa Officers have scheduled times they travel to different countries to conduct interviews.. so you could be waiting a long time for your interview :(

However once your file reaches the visa officer who will finalize your application they may see things differently and waive the interview... not likely but possible.
I would continue to send proof of your ongoing relationship so when the final visa officer reviews the file a different outcome may be possible.

If an interview is required you are in for a long haul

Best of luck

Just my opinion but if iam not mistaken i see two major red flags from visa officers point of view...parents failed to attend the wedding (no matter what the reason is).student visa denied...i think that is y interview has been recommended
