What type of number do I need to put in? I have a UCI and an application number. I'm referring to checking my Ecas status.

As always much appreciated :)

UCI number following your spouses information like last name+DOB+Country.

Hey everyone,

Still waiting. Officially 25 months in. Painful process.

We had our interview on Nov. 25th. We thought it went well. We were nervous as hell, because it means so much to us and barely slept the night before, but we thought we did a good job. We had nothing to hide. Been married for 2 and a half years, together for 7. (Living in the same country the entire time and the same home for 6 years, with the exception of 10 months when I returned to Canada to get my B.ED.) The interviewer said, and I quote 'I am satisfied that there is a relationship here.' I was over the moon. Validation! She then said she just had to verify admissibility because of two drug charges on my spouses record (no jail time served, both offenses over 10 years old, and his record has officially been expunged - not a major worry). She said it should take a couple weeks.

Waiting.... waiting... then finally an email in February. Received it on a Tuesday and it asked my husband to come in on the Thursday (not like we have lives to re-arrange or anything, but of course this is top priority!):

"This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. However, we note that it is incomplete and would invite you for a meeting with visa officer for additional information on Thursday, 13 Feb at 10:00 hrs. The meeting will not take that long and it is not necessary for sponsor to accompany you."

We had no idea what this was for. Long story short he went in and they asked him more questions about our relationship! Such as "are you scared of your wife" (which after the worry and confusion actually still makes us laugh... of course he is scared of his wife, at least a little bit. :) There were more, for lack of a better word, mean questions. He said that he even teared up at one point.

Then they said they would contact him. Our ECAS was changed to In Process within a week but since then we have yet to hear anything. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this?

This is a real mental game. A real struggle to stay positive. It is really time for me to move home, but I am not going back without him! It is such an awful feeling to be away from your family, especially when it is not by choice.

Hope everyone else is in a positive upswing. Would love to hear from anyone that has experience with this.

Best of luck.

Hi guys, I am worried. Is there a requirement for the police clearance to be completed within 3 months of submitting the application? We actually did the clearance in july 2013, and were going to re-do it soon after reaching singapore office. We haven't got AOR yet...just mailed it recently, but a poster mentioned outdated police clearance is viewed as incomplete and package will be returned? I could ask my thai wife to quickly have another one done. I await your replies please.

Okay i see we have made a mistake. Any ideas? I will ask her to quickly have it done and mail to CPC. Should I call them and tell them it's on its way? Anyone have the number?

But we have no uci yet... They will probably say they haven't even received our application yet. And my wife says a letter is needed from immigration canada for police to even process another clearance check. Ladt time we did it, I was with her and they just needed a letter from me, the canadian sponsor. And to make matters worse, its a long weekend there...Songkran. Will be super busy and not likely to get much done till next week. Arrgh!

What selection in the drop down menu is the UCI number? Every time I try and enter it, it tells me it can't find my information?

Hi,maisha27, Iam in same boat it's been 14th month sitting in svo no reply, scared to email them bcoz on their site it's written we can't contact them b4 time frame exceed,so just careful.good luck.

I did my Re-med, police clearance and Schedule A in Aug & September 2013. But still did not get PPR. Is here anyone in the same boat? I email to SVO few times but did not get any reply. Over 20 months, my application was submitted ... too much frustration.

As I mentioned before that my friend got her PPR and she already sent it to SVO vis VFS. She got an auto reply email that her passport has been sent to SVO. Will she get any email or notification that SVO received her passport? or it will update to VFS traking site that SVO received her passport?
Thanks in advance for your kind information.

Your long waiting after re-med is unbearable. It does not make any sense. Did apply for any GCMS note recently? Can you have your spouse contact his local MP for an update from CIC?

Your friend will not receive any email update once passport reached SVO. But he/she will see an update in VFS tracking website.
