My wife received her passport with the permanent residency visa stamped inside today!

We submitted the application in May 2013. So, total time from start to finish took about 11 months. We are lucky ones. Good luck to everyone out there! Thank you to those who provided their personal stories along the way.

congratulation :) mskenned

My wife's passport dispatched from SVO on yesterday for Dhaka VFS. So we are waiting to hear something from VFS soon.

Hopefully your spouse's status in ECAS will change to 'Decision Made' by this Friday. It may take 2 more weeks to get the passport back in hand after status changed to DM.

i think ,today or Sunday u will get notification from VFS :)..if it does plz go sharply , bcoz sunday & thursday VFS officer's were so much busy.

hey I just received Gcms notes today. can anyone help me to understand what these statements mean?

'Text: Correction- HOLD passport request until passport submission instructions for Vietnam have been reestablished'

'VON: send POV + request for meds, updated GCC and sch A.'

what is POV and GCC ?
Dear thanh245,
I receive GCMS note today and expect got the same text like yours, but no,
Where did you find the text? In which page/part of GCMS note? Thanks

In your case, maybe they will send PPR after passport submission instructions for Vietnam have been re-established, but it is re-established, isn't it? as some applicants have instructions to send their passport. or PPR is sending by post and it takes sometimes???

exactly three weeks today :(

I just wanted to give everyone an update. 6 weeks now we have been "processing" and not a word from Singapore. Still overly anxious and extreme ups and downs but we will get through it.

To everyone else, stay strong. It's the hardest thing I've ever done.

My wife's file was transferred to Singapore in July 2013. I received an email when the office received my application. The office will probably ask for a new medical report and request her passport for the visa. Will they contact me or my wife for this?

if my calculation is right based on timeline I saw for everyone who got it so far, you should be getting something by Apr-04 from them.

Best of luck ..

Singapore received my wife's passport on 12th March. Any estimation as to when she should receive her passport back and COPR?

SVO recieved passport on the 6th of March as well. Hopefully the few of us who submitted around the same timing would be recieving news in the next 2 weeks.... it's crazy, I am checking ECAS every single day in hopes of seeing "Decision Made." ???

Hi,everyone I send my file in Mississauga nov2012,singapore they receive jan2013,medical already expire in e-cas says in process a decision has not been made yet.dont know what to do any body can help plz any idea.Thanks.

Hello everyone! My application was received in June,2013 and status showing "application received".
My wife and children are all Canadian citizens. What is the possibility of getting a visitor visa to attend the graduation ceremony of my two children? Previously I was a PR and lost status because I could not fulfil residency obligation by physically staying in Canada for 720 days within five year period. Meanwhile I have received invitation from the university. I am doing business and planning to return within short time. Any suggestion please! Thank you.

I read somewhere on the CIC website you can still come to Canada for a short time or long-time (if you intend to live permanently). Keep looking at the site or give CIC a call for you to return to Canada.

My suggestion is to have your wife speak to a Lawyer as soon as possible. Your case is a little complicated than others.
