Hi kst, My husband's friend talk to his lawyer and confirmed my husband that we need to send photo according to appendix B immigration photo specification which is 35cm x 45cm. He mentioned that just sometimes different Canadian embassies from different countries called them ‘passport' photos. Its up to you that you can send 2 sets of photos. I will send only 1 set of photos (4 copies) according to Appendix B which size is 35cm x 45cm.
by the way can you post your timeline please.
Hi sama2012: Thanks for your feedback. I sent a PM to shiny88 yesterday, and she replied that she sent Photos of 35cm x 45cm sized. So I would like to close my debate here. Again, I really appreciate your nice feedback. Thank you so much.

Hi, about the picture taken date, how the embassy will know the picture is older than 3 months or not? Does studio give a stamp with picture taken date? I do not know any studio will give the stamp with picture date in back or not? little confused.

---- You just put the photos in an envelop and write the date of photo taken on the envelop. It would serve the purpose.

According to instruction, should I give the name and Date of birth bach of just one picture or all of them?

------ Please write your name and DOB on the back of 1 photo, according to the instruction sheet.

I never send any additional documents to SVO. What will be the FROM address in the front page of the courrier service? Should I give my file number in the front page? Otherwise how SVO will know this is my package without any file number or anything else?

------ Put all your paper in an envelop and write the file number/UCI, your name, address, DOB on this envelop. Insert this envelop inside the FedEx/DHL envelop. FedEx/DHL envelop will have the courier address of Singapore, and your address on the other side which they usually attach typed with their envelop.

Please let me know.

Hope this helps...Thanks again.

The instruction that we received said, to put Name of Applicant and Date of Birth on the back of only 1 of the 4 photos.

If you send mail to Singapore Visa Office by DHL/ Fedex/ Expresspost then use the street address:

Immigration Section
High Commission of Canada
One George Street
Singapore, 049145

If you are sending regular mail then use this address:

Immigration Section
High Commission of Canada
PO Box 845
Robinson Road
Singapore 901645

As for the specification of the photos, it seems Canadian immigration only uses 35cm x45 cm. So as Sama2012 says, may be this is the correct size.

When sending something to the Visa office, you can put the document inside an envelope and on the envelope write down in big capital letters, the File Number and the Applicant's Name & Date of Birth and they will be able to match it with your file. Then you put that envelope inside another envelope on which you write the mailing address of Singapore Visa Office. You can use any 'From' address. They will only communicate in the e-mail address or mailing address that they have on your file (not the From address you use).

I just found out something about the photo size that we had been discussing lately. When my wife received the Passport request, the instruction says to send 4 passport size photos. While, it seemed that the usual photo that we had send before was 35 mmx45mm, the passport picture size is 50mmx70mm. Only when the visa office asks for passport size picture then we should send 50mmx70mm.

Look at the following links:

Hi Goodman36, I know it is little confusing. As I understand according to appendix B all CIC standard size photo is 35mmx45mm. Shiny also sent 35mmx45mm photo with her request and they accept it. So i think it is standard size for CIC.

But 50mmx70mm is for canadian passport. CIC and passport dept are totally different. I will send 35mmx45mm as my hubby told me.
Please let us know if you find any clear info.

Schedule A, what is the way I can type my name in bangla (native language) in box 2 page 1? I tried and all asterick (*) shows. I know I can write but I want to type. If anyone know please let me know. I appreciate your help.

And for the address (no. 12, page 3), what will be the To date for the latest address? Answer should be Till now (with hand write) or current year and month (2013/07)?

Hi Guys, it's really a silly question. I am planning to send my all requested additional (police Clearance, photos, IMM5669E). Do I need to write file number top of every document?

If you write the File number and the Applicant's name on an envelope and put the documents inside that envelope and then put that envelope inside the envelope that you will mail. That's what we did. But, if you put file number on every document, then I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

If you got the sponsor approval letter on March 13, 2013, then your file should have been transferred within a few days of that date. Singapore Visa Office does not sent out acknowledgement letter for every file that they receive.

Usually, someone will look at your file within 4 months to 6 months period in Singapore just to check if they need any other document. If they do, then they will sent you an instruction about what they need and how to send it. Only then you will receive something. If when checking your file they do not need anything, then you won't even know that they looked at your file. After that (if they ask for something and you send it or don't need anything), another officer will review your file after another 3 to 6 months later. During these period, your e-cas will show application received. E-cas may change only when they ask for re-medical (your original is valid only for 12 months). Usually, in this period your e-cas may show 'in-process'.

Hope this helps.
