Hi Akhi
R u sure about this news ?

I wish its true , i am getting crazy .

Hi there, Can anyone please tell me what received date you see in your E-case? It should be file received in CIC or file received date in SVO? I am little confused about my ecase displaying date. In my case it is showing SVO rcved date.

1. When I login with my application number I got the following info (with application received link) with the application received date as SVO received date (not the CIC rcv date):

We received your application for permanent residence on August xx, 2012.
Medical results have been received.

2. When I login with my husband UCI number I got the following info (with application received link) with the application received date as SVO received date (not the CIC rcv date):

We received xxx's application for permanent residence on August xx, 2012.
Medical results have been received.

3. With Decision made link I saw the following info:

We received your application to sponsor xxx on August 16, 2012.
We sent you a letter on August 09, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Thank you so much for your help in advance.

no, im not sure i just heard it 4m ''diyabrar'' i wish this to b true also.waiting for 18 month.cant tolerate anymore delay!!

Hi Sama,

Here's what I know:

1 & 2. Before the file is sent to SVO, the E-cas shows the date when it was received by CIC. However, when SVO receives the file, they update E-cas so the application received date on E-cas shows the date when SVO received it (whether you login as the sponsor or the sponsored spouse). This is what happened to my case as well.

3. The "Decision made" refers to your husband being approved as a sponsor. He should have received an email on Aug 09 (or received a letter by post, if SVO doesn't have his email address on file.) Although the application received date should be the date when CIC Mississauga received the application, looks like it's showing the application received date for SVO. (The same thing happened to me as well).

I hope this clears things up. Good luck with your application!

Not necessarily the case.
Our ECAS shows application received on Dec 24th, which is the date received by CIC-M
SVO rec'd the application on January 31... but the date stayed on Dec 24th

Ecas is very unreliable :(

Thank you so much....

Inland application is when the Applicant (the person who is being sponsored) is within Canada along with the Sponsor. Outland application is when the Applicant is outside of Canada regardless of where the Sponsor is.

In your case, since you (the applicant) are in Bangladesh, it will be an outland application anyway. Does not matter that your wife (your Sponsor) is in Bangladesh. As a Canadian Citizen she is allowed to stay outside Canada while sponsoring ( as opposed to a PR who has to stay in Canada during this process) her spouse.

Since, the sponsor (your wife) is in Bangladesh, if she decides to stay when sending the application, she has to explain how she plans to support you once she returns to Canada with you.

The application package is mailed to Canada.

You along with your wife should read the Government of Canada official website for guidelines and instructions regarding this matter. You will also find all the forms too for the application. Here is the link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/index.asp

( Do not worry about the 2 year conditional PR rule. She can apply now for you. The 2 year conditional PR rule only may affect you if your relationship is not genuine. And by the time you come, you will have 2 years of marriage anyway. )

Singapore VO also processes Vietnam applications (as well as those of some other countries). It seems their processing is faster then those of BD ones. I don't know why.

Also, once they ask for something and you send it, they don't look at it right away. That is so frustrating.

I feel they r not doing any thing,
Its long time no news coming from them .
