I don't understand why they don't transfer our files to any other nearby VO. It will balance their file load and will improve the timeline.

Congratulations. It may take 2 to 8 weeks. By the way you filed application on june 2011???

hi everyone, yes i applied june 2011, i guess they processed our file soon because i thought they would take long time, couldn't take it anymore so i aplied for her visit visa in the mean time. she got approved for visit visa for 1 year sometime october 3rd 2011, she was suppose to fly to Canada on 20th, had her luggage packed and on Oct 12th she received the letter from Singapore stating they are ready to issue her PR visa. so i had to hold her flight ticket and send the passport away to Singapore. once again back to waiting game. cant wait to get her passport back with PR visa included.

it could be that when i applied for visit visa they ended up opening her file again for review, and since i included lot of proof of our relationship and family info in order to be approved for visit visa it was a confirmation for them that our relation is genuine. i guess they thought its better she come here with PR visa then coming with visit visa. i donoo how how they work.

from july forum applicants r getting their PPR, but for me ecas is still saying application received on 20th july 2011, though i got approved on 26th september. they really need to put some efficient and intelligent workers for SG. everything seems damn slow.

Congrates Man , what proves did you submit during VISA application? Please let us know

Good news.

My MP has informed me that my wife was approved a few days ago and we should be getting a letter in 2-4 weeks requesting the passport. I emailed Singapore already asking to submit the passport in person now, instead of waiting for the letter, because of flooding in Thailand and my boss needing me back in Canada. We will see what they say. I would love an email request to save time and heard that many other people got an email request. We plan on getting the next plane to Singapore when we can.

Our timeline:
Submitted sponsorship and PR application to Canada in October 2010. Approved to be a sponsor in November 2010 and application recieved in Singapore December 8th, 2010. Recieved request for new medical and additional proof of living together in July 2011. Medical completed and documents sent in early August of 2011. November 2011: Mp informed us that she has been approved and are waiting for letter.

Is it only the passport we need to submit to Singapore or do we need some other document as well?

thanks a lot mate.

Hey all,

Just wanted to inform everyone that my wife had landed as a PR on October 23, 2011. The amount of stress weighing on my chest has been lifted. Landing process took some time, but the process is nothing you should worry about. Goodluck to everyone who are still waiting!!! Hang in there and keep loving each other. It took us about 21 months for the PR process to be completed. I know how it feels to wait and if anyone tells you to stop complaining, it's because they haven't waited as long as you.

From Jan of 2010 - October of 2011

cheers,

sovo

Sovo- Congratulations! I read up on your story just now and all the hoops you had to jump through. What a blessing it must be for both of you to be together and to be finally able to continue with the rest of your lives. Thanks for your advice and best wishes to you, your wife and new baby. Hi all,

I'm new here. A bit surprised that the Singapore VO takes so long to start processing the PR application for most the cases here.

My case:
- Sponsorship application approved: Sep 13, 2011.
- Singapore received: Sep 28, 2011.
- PR in process since: Oct 17, 2011.
I'm still waiting for the CSQ for my wife (in 2-3 weeks time). CSQ would be the last piece of required documents (medical received, police clearance included).

I have a question: typically, after Singapore VO started processing the PR application, how long do we expect to have a decision? I really hope that once my wife's CSQ is approved and forwarded, the Singapore VO will complete my wife PR application so. Perhaps I'm dreaming :(
