Did you get your passport back? I submitted at VFS on 2nd Dec and received email from IRCC on 6th December

Yes, I received my passport back on Dec 7, 2022. It takes around 10-14 days to get your passport back after submission.

I applied for my student permit on 26/09/2022
and enrolled in my biometric on 29/09/2022. On the same day, VFS acknowledged documents had been sent to SGVO
and passed my medical exam on 3/10/2022, and that was the last update from the IRCC website.
I have applied to this together with my wife and kid. Do you know how long it is going to take/

My spouse jut got his PPR alhamdullilah. This long chapter is finally coming to an end. It's been so stressful and heartbreaking all these months but now I can finally see the end of it. I wish and pray for all of you, so you can see your loved ones soon. The timeline is in my signature

My application is Closed Work Permit (LMIA)
Here is timeline, I've applied to SVO.

Application submitted on: 18 October 2022
Biometrics updated on: 21 October 2022
Submitted Inside or Outside Canada: outside (Singapore office)
Work Permit Extension or New: New
Got an answer? No

Since then there has been no updates, it shows gonna take 35 weeks. But can it go more than that? Do they process applications timely basis like July/August applications will get processed first?

looking at your timeline, you got medical request pretty quick after biometrics.
Here I did my biometrics on 23rd October and afterwards no updates still waiting for medical request or police certificate request (I didn't provided upfront)

I got pre-arrival e-mail on the same day as you. And today I received PPR e-mail. Hopefully you'll get yours as well.

Thank you Yeah I am quite happy with my timeline. Initially, I thought that it would take longer than normal family class sponsorship (mine is conjugal). Good luck for you. Hopefully you get good news soon!
