Hi Guys,
I'm new to this forum.
Currently back-reading the thread to gather information but would greatly appreciate any advise from you all.
My wife is currently in Canada and she has applied for PR under Live-in Caregiver program wherein I am under spousal sponsorship.
She had already submitted documents necessary for our application since last year and now it's my turn to accomplish several documents.
I've already done my medical examination and the medical report has already been submitted/received by CIC.
Last August 31, I've sent(via mail) "background check documents" such as SG police clearance, IMM5406E, IMM5490E and a few documents to support/prove that we are married to High Commission of Canada here in Singapore.
I just want to ask(to those who have undergo same process) how long does High Commission of Canada-Singapore takes to review documents.
If in case everything goes well, what would be the next step?
Thanks a lot.

Hi,
You are in the wrong section of the forum. This section is for family sponsorship.
Your wife is not sponsoring you- she is applying for PR through the Caregiver Program from inside Canada and you are an accompanying family member. The application is being processed in Vegreville, Alberta.
Since your wife is applying for PR and is currently a foreign worker, you should search the FW forum for threads discussing similar applications. Nobody here has the same circumstances or application type as you and your wife.
Singapore will be responsible for giving instruction to have a medical examination performed, verifying police checks and for conducting your background check. Once your wife is approved Singapore will then ensure your medical and background/police checks are still valid and confirm the RPRF fee has been paid before issuing your visa.
See below and good luck.
OP 24 Overseas Processing of Family Members of In-Canada Applicants for
Permanent Residence
5.2. Responsible CIC offices
All applications for in-Canada processing for permanent residence are submitted to the Case Processing Centre in Vegreville (CPC-V), which becomes the chief holder of the file.
However, the CPC-V may transfer the file to the Canada Immigration Centre (CIC) nearest the principal applicant’s residence if an interview or other processing is required locally.
After assessing the initial application for eligibility, the CPC-V will notify the appropriate visa office abroad with details of all eligible family members to be processed for each case.
