Thanks for the detailed post. Taxi seems more expensive than in Indonesia. It would be half that or less here for 2.5 hour trip. We have those mini bus things here as well and I've taken a few of them. Not really interested in the club and bar scene too much. More interested in beaches or temples or mountains etc.

If you are not into the bar scene,and you are in Bangkok,i recommend a night in Chinatown,after 6pm is best.Another spot is Asiatique,lots of shops and restaurants.My last trip i stayed in the Silom area,which is close to both these spots.My favourite morning market was Silom Soi 20,a very popular market for the locals,closed on mondays.Browse youtube for Mark Wiens,he has some great videos on Bangkok,and all over Thailand.

Thanks! On Oct 31 background check showed in progress under MyCIC. Then on Nov 2 DM and PPR came, all within 2/3 hrs apart.

Review of submitted documents
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started

Here's myCIC. However, review of submitted documents is always empty. I never received any request for extra documents. Even thou Final decision shows Not Started but I checked PR ecas. It shows Decision Made instead of In Progress there. And I received email which told us to send original passport with 2 photos within 30 days.

I just went to summit a passport and photo to SVO at VFS Thailand. Is it ok if I did pit my photos in the envelope with my name and application no? But I already wrote on the back of my photo, They only took all my documents and put in 1 envelopes (VFS package).
I'm a little worry because I don't want to any problem this is the last stage with SVO. Anyone have any ideas :'(

Dont worry Khup , they did with my photo same infact ihave told them to send all Passport size Photo but they
took only two and whole documents which CIC singapore send me along with PP request letter , dont worry
this is there job to send documents to CIC Singapore

took only two and whole documents which CIC singapore send me along with PP request letter , dont worry
this is there job to send documents to CIC Singapore

Thank you ka. But they didn't write application no. Or put your photos intge envelope right? I give them all my documents but I have OCD about organizing my stuff I worry I will screw up. They only put all thing together and stable my photos with one of paper.

Do they need to be here (Canada) before their medical expire or after getting a visa it doesn't really matter even if medical expires?

The visa validity typically expires when the medical expires

My understanding is you must land before the medical expires.
