Thanks again everyone. I am planning to send the passport by next week. How long does it take the CVAC to send the passport along with the passport size picture? And how much do they charge at Dhaka? Moreover, whats the next step after that? Do we receive COPR along with the passport when we get it back from SVO?

Expect between 4 and 6 week to get passport back. From Dhaka I don't know the cost but from Bangkok it was around 50$

Yes i have send my passport on 25 Oct and it cost was about CAD 50 , and CIC singapore receive my PP on 27 Oct
11 am , now waiting time is start to receive my PP back ]

We got ppr on june 7th and my wife get it back on july 8th but on ppr we had urgent flag coz the medical was about to expired.

So I just checked my ecas and now the "Background Check" says " not needed at this time" when checking what this means it says that means they have not received an application for PR??? WTF???

So my wife got an email today

"Your application has been updated. Please sign in to your account and check your application status and messages for more information."

So as above the only change I see is that the Background check says "Not needed at this time" No messages at all, so can I assume that they don't require a background check? My wife already has a temporary visitor visa good for 5 years so maybe the checking they did for that is all they need.....I hope so.

Hello fellow SVO applicants,

Here is a confusing situation...
I usually don't check my Ecas often as they really don't change. I usually check MyCIC a lot.
So its Friday night here and was watching game late night and thought let see the Ecas today.
I see for my wife's Ecas says (PR side) "Decision Made"!!!!

Didn't believe it so went to check mine (sponsors) Ecas: Both side says "Decision Made"!!

But I haven't got any PPR email/MyCIC message though!

What that could be???
Please advice....

I wonder if the status will change when they receive it?

that was the same for me that I seen the change on MyCIC before my wife got the email saying it had been updated.......so I'm thinking that the update happens before they notify you. If you see "Decision Made" on Friday I would be thinking that Monday or Tuesday your wife will get an email. Fingers crossed for you, but it really sounds like you are in the home stretch now.

You can ask Cvac ,about status of your passport , also you can ask them what time they have deliver your PP to embassy of canada in singapore
they will reply you same day .about your passport status ,they can only tell you what time they have deliverd , other detail they can not tell you.

Hi,

You waited so long for appeal hearing at IAD!

Respective VAC/VFS will receive the PP and forward to SVO for visa stamping...issuance of COPR.
