I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo happy my status has changed to " in process " :D

October applicants please check away!!!!!!

So do I understand this process correctly. When they have listed that the application is received it more or less means its sitting on a desk unopened somewhere in Singapore. But when they change the status to "in process" it means somebody got off their fat lazy ass and actually looked at it?

You are telling people from October 2010 to check? Good lord, that is 8 months to even look at the app? Quite a crack team of professional employees, or is that a team of employees on crack? hard to tell...

Well that is strange that your was recieved in November almost a month BEFORE mine and it still doesn't say "In process." It's funny though. A couple days before mine changed to "in process" I sent them an email about how I was concerned because others whom sent their after mine were already in process. I politley said that I was worried that mine got misplaced because I thought they most likely opened up the apps in the order that they came.

Yeah I don't get it.
Why don't they processing our file based on first come first serve basis.
Mine is almost 8 months !!!!!!!

These dingbats in the SG office haven't got a clue have they, no wonder they're taking 20 months there's no organization, my case is as straight as they come and yet "lenardparnold" who's a month behind me is in process and i don't even get a response to an email 8 months on - bunch of pen pushers who can't make decisions and have to take double the time of every other office to make a decision overseen by a Canadian official

Can't hurt to shine some light on this office and their awful history

Only 27 sigs, kinda surprised really...

It beggars belief how Beijing / Taipei /Tokyo / Seoul - have so much faster Processing times, 4-6 months - while SG straight 20months - if it's the load then why can't they distribute it to other offices and reduce the timescale overall - not everyone in-process here is living here - IE Thai applicants could be processed in other Asian offices like Taipei and Bangladesh to Delhi which has 6months time span -

CanadianEnforcer,
Correct me if I am wrong. What I know is when you send your application to CPC.M they decide which office they are going to send your file for processing even if you request for a particular office. At least that's what happened to my case.
Now that being said, I was wondering whether you are able to suggest on transferring files from Singapore to other offices with faster processing time.
Thanks. :)

i was referring to efficiencies that can be looked at by CIC about this slow office which processes many countries then necessary - as applicants we do not have the option of choosing which visa office other then the office of nationality or residence, having said that i had selected by app to be processed in London (office of nationality) but yet they sent it to Singapore where I'm staying on a work visa. i don't know how many others who's apps have ended up in Singapore like this

;D

We received your application for permanent residence on November 15, 2010.

We started processing your application on June 14, 2011.

Medical results have been received

Please let me know when you get the letter or email from Singapore coz, I sent my application later than you 1 day ( October 7,2010)

Our timelines should be similar I think. :)
