Wow. They increased to 20 months.... Now Sinapore is the longest aside from Kenya, the Dominican, Ghana and the United Arab......

And whats with the people getting approved after a couple months? I mean it's great for them but come on. One person sent in August and another's application recieved in January? And my application was recieved on December 8th and it's listed as still not in progress? Just application recieved? Did thery send a tip in the box too or what?

I can understand if certain things can make them take longer and do more "checking," but you would think they would at least start processing applications in the right order. My application was complete as well and couldn't fit in an envelope because there were so many documents and pictures, etc.... I put it in a damn box...

I will actually be in Singapore from the 13th to the 16th of June I was thinking of swinging by the Canadian Embassy one day and see if anyone actually works there or if it's just a mail drop or something.. hard to imagine real people could manage to do things this slowly.

I am kinda surprised there are only 13 people that have signed... this thread alone has almost 26,000 views.. I guess a lot of people like to vent but are really ready to make a public statement about the things that displease them... fact is a petition like this will often do NOTHING.. but not even trying is worse in my opinion. But in the off chance it gets a few thousand people signing it it can then be referred to the press and hopefully somebody will ask the questions needed of this office other offices operating so poorly and the Immigration Ministry itself.. better to do something even if nothing comes of it, than to do NOTHING and expect anything to change.

:D Today the online status changed to "In process." :D

It's funny though it says "we started processing this application on June 1st," but yesterday it still said "application recieved." So it updates the online status a little slow or something. Today is June 4th. A couple days ago I did send an email about how I noticed others that sent their applications after me had already been approved or listed as "in process." Maybe the email got through or maybe it was just chance.
