Well i would have been worried but i think my file is in the hand of the slowest visa officer....

My GCMS notes indicates "recommend passed" under eligibility... and they notes from VO says after initial screening " NO CONCERNS FOUND. FILE READY FOR OFFICER DECISION

The initial screening was done back in september 2012 after that it was transferred for final review in october 2012. From that time onwards file is just sitting. I ordered couple of more gcms NOTES but showed no updates or activity which proves that the file is sitting there for final review.

Another note which i made is i found 2 other member with the same time...they also ordered GCMS notes...everything seems ok in their notes too.....BUT THE CATCH IS ALL OUR FILES IS ASSIGNED TO THE SAME VISA OFFICER>....and we are all on the same boat..

So basically from my point of view and a lot of research ....i found that even if file is straight forward with no complication, the processing time depends on which Visa officer in singapore handles it.... Some of them takes advantage of the 26 months timeline..some of them just gets on with it and processes it withing 6 to 8 months...

So lUCK also has a lot to do with the whole process..

Welcome to the Singapore Waiting Game Toyna

You can order your notes to see what is happening with your file
but like most of us they have probably gone through initial review and are now waiting final review by a senior visa officer

Chin up... there are a lot of applicants in this thread that have been sitting in Singapore since early 2012

Do you mean you requested your notes on October 24th?

That depends on whether you are a PR yourself or if you are a Canadian citizen

If you are a citizen yes but you will have to show your intentions to return to Canada when your husband receives his PR
If you are a PR then it is recommended that you only leave Canada for a few weeks to visit

This is really sad and pathetic. How unfortunate we are that we can't even do anything about it. I am pretty sure if we investigate the officers who take long time, we will find that these visa officers don't have any family at all or at least don't give importance to family. Loosers.

I was on the verge of writing a report and send it to Immigration Canada..with all my GCMS notes as proof... But i didnt dare to do that... I dont want anyone to freak out and mess up my straight forward application and take 5 years to process...

Working at government organization my self in Ontario for the last 4 years..i know how messed up things can be...some officers are very efficient..and some old lazy ***holes are freaking slow
