It take 26 months to process 80% of the application..thats the statistics..My file has been in singapore for 16 months now... and i havent got a single communication yet..GCMS notes says "recommend Passed" VO notes says " no concerns file realy for decision"

I didnt get any remedical notofication yet! isnt it crazy?? ecas says application recieved ...

Now explain my case all u amazing knowledgeble folks..

If my case was complex and needed time i understand.. But my notes says its a straight forward application..then whats happening?

And my case is verys straight forward .. i was in a 7 years relationship . then got married. big wedding .. sponsored for my wife.. in feb 2012 .. first step took 4 months.. (thts was the average time by mississauga at tht time) file thn reached singapore june 2012.. after tht nothing..

According to the activity section of my notes.. first officer did initial review in september 2012... after that the final visa officer didnt even touched my file... how do i know that? cauz i applied for gcms notes thrice and my notes r exact same thing!!!

The initial screening had only positive comments.. still this wait?? r they just taking advantage of the 26 months time line? or my particular VO is just slow? cauz my friend got approval in 8 months but her VO code name was diffrent in her gcms....

But mine , afroze and another member from this forum with sane exact timeline r waiting for so so long!! but guess what Gcms notes says all three us have our file assigned to the sane exact VO...

Bottom line if our file was assigned to a diffrent VO at singapore office.. our spouses had bedn with us by now...sure isnt it pure luck?

I am on the same boat as diyabrar.

I think our officer is DEAD! and computer system is waiting for 26 months to end to transfer to another office!!!

thanks goodman,
but what is pre paid express envelop can u plz describe a bit..thanks in advance...

Pre-paid envelope means, you enclose an envelope from Fedex or from DHL that has already been paid for return service from Singapore to Dhaka. If you use Fedex or DHL, then you can ask them that you need a pre-paid express envelope (for the same weight as you are sending) and after you pay for it, they will attach sticker on the returning envelope which Singapore will use to mail to you. You include that envelope with your passport inside the envelope you are sending to Singapore.

Hello Everyone :)

Singapore is working... a member on another thread had his ECAS change to In Process as of August 23rd

Hopefully everyone will start hearing some good news soon!!!

My ECAS changed to In Process around the same time (Aug 26)

So yeah, SVO seems to be still working, although slowly....

Hi toronto guy,

Nice to meet you. I applied almost the time as yours for my spouse. I applied in October 12, got my sposonsor apporved in Nomver and file transferred to SVO at that time. did you see your status in process recently on ecas? Please keep in touch.

Wish you all the best. thanks very much.

Hi rontsk,

My file was transferred to SVO towards the end of September 2012, and the application status changed to "In Process" recently (Aug 26).

However, I'm still waiting for an email/regular mail from SVO.

You might see an undate soon! Best of luck!

goodman,
here is someone's post

I received my passport back on Friday April 5th.. They wont use your Return envelope unless it's an unmetered one.. it should be flat rate usps and unmetered.. if not they will use their own envelope which takes longer time I guess.. you also should send the copy of the email message you received..

what is unmetered? and wont they except dhl or fedex coz in bangladesh usp company dont exist i guess

goodman,
i think vfs add little more time to send n get the passport thats why i wanted to send passport when i''ll b requested for it through dhl or fedex also i guess i cant submit passport in person also get it back the very same day,is'nt it..so the plan of getting back the passport in person useless >:(....
