We have no new updates ours still says we started processing ..........'s application on August 31, 2010. How is it possible that lovethai's got updated before ours?

Not only Lovethai but also 5 others who's application started from september 1 to september 15 ( all from Singapore) got their updates and 3 of them already got their PPR, that is what lovethai said to me...

Hi everyone, we got a letter stating that the the Immigration Office in Singapore is ready to issue our permanent residence visa and request for my passport. We're so happy! Singapore is really fast, so this is also good news for everybody.

Well, Faranz this is a quick update,

My partners passport request just came in the mail this afternoon. It was mailed on the 9th of November. They gave us 60 days to send the passport as well, they want additional support of my (the sponsor) plans to return to Canada, and three more photos of my partner.

We definitely were not expecting this so fast.

Can you please provide me some details about yourself so that I can judge my situation better:
1) Where did you get the letter? In Canada or Bangladesh?
2) You said your wife is still a student. In that case did you need to show any financial solvency of your sponsor?

2) What financial support documents did you provide with the application? Since you were not employed in Canada at the time of your application...that did not hamper your application as a sponsor?
3) As of today, you saw no change in your e-cas status?

I have few questions..

@ I am paying my PR fees online today..so should i have to send reciept of that payment to both Singapore and Missisauga?

@ I am thinking to send some more pics and other evidence along with that reciept to Singapore...will that be okay?

I m reuqetsing any answer ASAP..

1) Both my partner and I are in Thailand, we have been here for almost three years now. We got the letter at our place of employment today in Thailand.

2) As for financial support documents, I sent in a copy of my contract from last year, as well as the current contract that I have for this school year. I also sent in the option c from revenue Canada eventhough it was dated back to 2007. I don't think you have to meet income requirements to sponsor only your spouse, you need to meet an income requirement to sponsor more than your spouse. Since I was only sponsoring my partner I wasn't worried about the amount my salary is here. I was more concerned with showing them that since I was ever able to work I was working, and would not be a burden but rather a contributor to the social systems in Canada.

3) My E-Cas status still says "we started processing _______________'s application on August 31st, 2010. So there has been no change.

Hello Sadatul,

About your first question, I am not sure how to answer your first question, I am guessing you would send your receipt to Singapore if you have already had first stage approval. Otherwise, if you are not in a huge rush you could wait for Singapore to request it. Please know though, I am really not sure and you might get a better answer from a more senior member than myself. I sent everything all in at once, the payment, medicals, forms and all proof.

In regards to that second question, I think it would be ok, but maybe you could also wait for a request, this is also a question better suited for someone with more knowledge and experience than myself.

Thanks for your reply Hycore. So you are located in Thailand?...Perhaps this explains your and Lilithai's quick processing....

I am quite sure that Singapore has different desks for processing applications from Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and Bangladesh. From this forum, I am getting some idea that applications made from Thailand/S'Pore get processed much faster than applications made from Bangladesh.

This has nothing to do with discrimination, it is just the fact that perhaps CIC Singapore is getting more applications from Bangladesh than S'Pore or Thailand.

Let's hope for the best....all Bangladeshis out there.

hello people! i just have a quick question different from this thread, i just want to ask if you are a singaporean PR, is it ok that you will have a canadian PR? my husband is a Singaporean PR, but he is included in our application for PR. so does he has to give up his PR in singapore or is it ok to have both?thanks

I m somehow agree with farhanz..however lets hope as we all r from Bangaldesh we will get our update soon..
