ahh Singapore is working well i guess..two applicant got their visas within 3 months of time..whereas Singapore timeline is 18 mnths they got it within 3 months thats amazing indeed..

Hi victorialad did u ever saw any update regarding ur medical on e-cas? I have heard they usually update it one month prior to request for a PPR.

BTW how many months Singapore took to send ur PPR... Plz let us know ur timeline with e-cas update in a bit details. coz My application started processing in Singapore since sept 23 2010. since then i havent heard anything from them.

Hi Sadatul,
The medical exam was done prior to the application and sent by IOM to Singapore. I received an update on E-CAS about the medical results being received about 2 weeks before the passport request.

The application was transferred to Singapore July 9. I did not hear anything from Singapore after that, until the update regarding the medical results being received.

The letter approving the visa was sent on Sept 7, but it came to me in Canada, because my wife and I had used the "representative" form. I had to then send the letter to Vietnam, and my wife submitted her passport on Oct 9.

The passport request letter contained the my wife's file number, and now when she checks E-CAS it says "in progress". I believe the status really should be "decision made" but they have not updated it yet.

So, overall, the timeline was very quick, much quicker than I was expecting. We have been very fortunate.

Yes, the process is very painful, and I wish you and everyone else in this situation all the best.

I believe I was able to give a solid demonstration of the genuineness of our relationship.
I met my wife the first time three years ago, and went back four times to see her. We communicated almost every day, and I sent in lots of emails, chat logs, and phone bills. I also sent in hotel receipts and boarding passes from my flights. We had a formal engagement ceremony with her extended family present. We also had a formal wedding ceremony and reception with over 300 guests, with quite a few people from my family flying out, which I believe was important. I included lots of photos, particularly those showing me with her family and friends. I also included an updated will, something I have never seen anyone else mention here.

It is hard to know what was most important, or if it was just the sum of everything.

Thanks for ur informative response.. I have sent Singapore some emails and they told me they are working with my file and also they changed my address as i emailed them to change it. However when i ask them regarding my medical they didnt reply.

U have sent lots of proof thats great.. I met my wife in 2008 may in BD but she had to fly back to canada in october 2008 and i got married her in 2010..Though we had many emails, fb msgs and chat blogs still we couldnt send them all coz those were written in native laguages so i prefered to sent few of those..We sent pics as well but not more than 20.we had our marriage ceremony and reception with over 500 attendes, and over 700 attendes respectively , in addition with that we had our gaye holud and engagement with over 200 and 50 attendes. Plz pray that they convince with our proof however those are not that much like yours.

My wife is still with me and waiting for my visa therefore we had to sent them proof that she will go with me after when i get visa. hence we sent them her acceptance letters from college. Her parents and borthers already in canada so i wrote in application that they will arrange a flat for us to live while we come in Canada. I would like to mention that my wife is a naturalize Canadian Citizen since her early 10. We both are from Bangladesh. So i do beleive there is no point to raise that she wont come back to Canada. She is here only for me coz we dont want to continue another long distance relationship anymore. That is horrible when u cant see ur loved one for over years.

Now thats gud news that Singapore at least working with our file. And we need all of urs prayar to get things done in short time with positive outcome.

Update ur status until u land in Canada.

I just heard a story from my relative ( who is from Bangladesh) who was applied in May and from June Singapore started processing..His wife got her visa last month and she left bd 1 week before. this is really encouraging story.. I will try to find out details of their timeline so that we can estimate our deadlines accordingly..

Hi ..

Would u plz tell me what sort of proof u sent along with ur application to proof ur relatuionship genuine? R u married or in a common-law relationship? I have sent in total 15 photos of my wedding, reception, gaye holud, and engagement with fb amd email msgs but those were written in our native laguage. Will that be a problem that we didnt made translation of those messages? Beacuse we thought that real one will be better rather than making any translation. We sent our wedding card also.


My wife is staying with me so i had to sent an acceptance letter from her college to proof that she will be going with me when i get visa. In addition I said that her parents already staying in Canada so they will arrange a flat for us so that we can stay. Point to be noted is my wife is a naturalized canadian citizen for 15 years. She stayed in bangladesh for last 6 years from 2002 to 2008 with her parents and then she along withe her parents and brothers went to canada to resume their status in Canada. And in 2010 may she again came to Bangladesh to marry me and since then she is staying there with me. Will that be any problem because of her staying 6 years in Bangladesh? We said we dont want to continue any long distance relationship so she will be staying with me until my visa is issued. We had 2 years relation before getting married.

Lovethai already got his updated stauts to medical hass been received. His application started processing from sept 13 in Singapore.

Thats great news. he is 10 days ahead of mine. Do u guys have any update?
