Hi all,
There is requirement of having police clearance certificate if one has lived more than 183 days in last 4 years. I lived in Singapore for two years and then moved to Canada in Nov 2015 and will be eligible for Citizenship on Nov 2018.
Below snippet taken from canada.ca webpage:
Do I need to provide a Singapore Police certificate with my application for permanent residence? No. We will send you a letter requesting a police certificate after you send your application for permanent residence. You must bring that letter when you apply for a police certificate.
I find above instructions who are applying for PR but no instructions for who are applying for citizenship.
Below snippet is take from another canada.ca web :
Within the last 4 years, if you spent 183 days or more in another country (other than Canada), you must provide a police certificate. You must provide a police certificate for each country where you spent 183 days or more. If you cannot get a police certificate, tell us why.
I can explain why I cannot provide police clearance certificate mentioning that Singapore Police require letter from Canada's citizenship department but want to know if there is any other best way to deal with this situation.
