Singapore PCC - Requesting letter from CIC required

Hi,

I received ItA under provintial nominee and am now collecting the documents for PR application. Need confirmation on the following:

1. pR application must include medical and indian PCC
2. Singapore PCC is to be provided later when cic asks for it. I however already applied to Spf for the PCC but not submitted fingerprints as yet. Should I postpone the finger printing and wait for cic to send me a request letter?

This will work, don't worry. I got my Singapore PCC and Luxembourg PCC this way as both countries needed the IRCC request letter.

I submitted my documents on 30th Sep and on Nov 7th I get the request letter for both Singapore and Luxembourg PCCs

Just a caution, Singapore police send you the PCC back to your home address in India in registered post and once you get an email from them that your PCC is done, you can email them and ask for the tracking number. They will send u that. You can also mention an nominee who lives in Singapore to collect the PCC on behalf of u. The PCC they posted me to my Canada address is not received eve now. So at the last minute, I had to ask for a friend in Singapore to go and collect a duplicate PCC and scan and email it to me, So please keep a track

Wow , that's a bummer.. Quick question when you submitted for the Singapore PCC did you mention that you want copy to be posted to Canada ?.

Thanks Kchandana74. The application has been approved and I now need to go get my fingerprint. Just wondering after I get the PCC do I upload it together with the documents or still wait for CIC to send the letter, a bit confused now. Thanks

Hi Kenok, did you just upload the PCC without waiting for CIC request letter? I'm having same situation and not sure what to do. I got the PCC already. Thanks so much

2. Yes. Just include a LOE with this text. "I am applying from a country that requires an official request letter from CIC to get a police certificate". I am a Singaporean national and you don't need to mention whether you are PR or so. Your application has all the details

4. Yes. My AOR is on 30 Sep, and I got the letter on 9th Nov. I was given 60 days to submit. So I had to submit it before Jan 9 2017
5. Yes. I uploaded separate LOE letters for me and my wife. CIC send me two request letters for me and my wife
6. I got my PCC approved on 12 Dec. (Took some time coz my wife needed to get her appeal approved first). Point of caution; if you are outside Singapore, they will send the PCC to your home address by registered post. SPF posted our PCCs on 13 Dec and even by 5th Jan, those were not received. SingPost tracking said it has left for destination country Canada and Canada post was saying the post has not yer reached Canada. So I called SPF and they said to order a duplicate report and assign a friend to collect it. So one of my friends went there and collect it for me, scan it and emailed it to me, so I could upload it by 7th Jan. You know.. the original PCCs posted on 13 Dec came to me only 5th Feb
So my advice: if you have a friend, assign it to collect it for you

My wife and I are waiting for the final decision (PPR) after uploading the Singapore COC. Could you pls tell me how long it took for you to receive the final decision and PPR after COC submission on EE account?

Please don't confuse here.

As I mentioned, submit your documents with a LOE containing the the text I mentioned earlier. Then IRCC will send you a request letter for Singapore PCC into your MyCIC Account

Then go to Singapore Police Force (SPF) website and under police clearance, there is a link to apply for the Appeal. Attach all other documents plus your request letter from IRCC. Normally it takes about 5-10 days to get the appeal approved and you will be notified by email. Once that is approved, go to the link to Apply for PCC and it will ask for your Appeal ref no and all your information will be automatically filled in from your appeal form including all the docs you uploaded.

Since you are not a Singaporean citizen, you need your FIN number

Hi Kchandana74, I just got ITA on 14th Oct. I'm currently residing in India and I have also submitted the appeal for Singapore PCC using ITA
my query is ,
1. Should I continue the COC application using ITA once my appeal is successful. Or wait for the CIC request letter after I submit my PR application..?
2. While submitting my appeal, stay period I entered was not accurate, can i still able to change the stay period (dates) when I apply for COC ..? ( Since the appeal info will be autofilled in COC application)
