Hi Everyone,

I have applied Visitor Visa for my elder brother and below is his profile:

His Profile
- Travel History: France, Netherlands, Vietnam and Indonesia in 2022
- Employment: Google India
- Status: Married
- Funds: 35K CAD
- Length of Stay: 2 weeks
- Occasion: My Birthday Celebration

My Profile
- My Status: Canadian Citizen
- Invitation: Notarized

Application timelines:
- Applied: 12 June 2023
- Biometric request: 17 June 2023
- Biometric submission: 22 June 2023
- Refusal Letter: 09 July 2023

He had been refused in 2017 when I invited him to visit me for my university convocation and I mentioned that with all the details while filing his visa this time.
I plan to apply for GCMS notes and need advice on what can be improved for the next reapply.

Thanks in advance for your valuable comments

Was the travel history related to business or personal? What is is personal travel history? Is he married? Does he own property? How long has he been working at google? How old is he?

do you have access to his refusal paper that he received? what general refusal reasons were given? purpose of travel is not consistent with? or what else?

Below are the reasons in the refusal letter

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:

• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

• You have significant family ties in Canada.

• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

He is very new to the google job which weakens his job it as a tie. If he had been at google for years that would show longterm well paying employment. Netherlands is the only person travel history. Did he go visit after going to Paris for business? Has he ever applied to work/study abroad or immigrate to another country. Do your parents have TRVs or supervisas? Are thee any other family members that live in Canada or longterm visitors? Are his funds in liquid cash or FDs?

Think it is combination of many things like your mother having a TRV and so there is the potential she wants both children to live in the same place, your brother’s travels that are relevant to IRCC are tied to work, he has tried to work abroad, he is a relatively new job, etc. Would suggest ordering GCMS notes.
