Now since we are postponing the application for maybe 3 months.. We've just done the Medical exam last week, will it look weird that the medical was done months before the application is submitted?

I know the exam is valid just for a year and we might have to redo it if the application takes longer to process..

Not at all.

It's also common for CIC to extend the medical beyond the one-year expiry. Do NOT have a re-medical unless CIC asks for one.
