Pre-Assessed..
Come up to CRS 467,

Took a IELTS last time. L 7.5, R 7.0. W 6.5 S 6.0,

I thought reading could be at least 8.0 because I felt really good after reading test.
Speaking was bad because I can't get used to a British accent, big issue for my poor listening to understand as good as Canadian English .

Should I take a Celpip next time?

In my opinion, speaking and listening test for Celpip easier than IELTS.

Try for Celpip you might be increasing scores this time.

All the best

If you have the chance to take CELPIP in Canada, I would go with that, as I took CELPIP myself and enjoyed the all computer format of the test.

Managed to score 10-12 in all celpip categories so if you have any questions about the test, just let me know.

Thanks,

Just don't have some materials and afraid of getting very low in Writing and speaking. I thought they usually give you 8 for most of the time. At lease my friends took a few time and got full in listening and reading but just W and S can't make it going higher .

What's the trick of getting higher S and W in celpip?

Thanks,

Just PM me for the materials, I got some for CELPIP can share it with you.

Thanks,

I know that when it comes to writing, they care that you have a proper structure with paragraphs, use good connectors to connect your sentences and have each paragraph cover a particular topic. Make sure that you cover each requirement. So if you have to write a letter which is supposed to include a suggestion, advice and an example, make sure to have a paragraph for each and dont include any information that is not requested as it guves the impression that you didnt understand what was asked of you in the task. Obviously, show that you have a good vocabulary and make very few mistakes.

As for speaking, use the whole time and try to speak as fluently and clearly as possible. Dont rush through it and try to make each sentence sound natural. If you can manage to stick to some structure so that your sentences make sense and follow some order that would help. So if they have you describe an image, start for example with the foreground and work your way to the background. Pay attention to details and try to include them. Try to vary your sentence structures a bit so they arent too repetitive.

Thats some of the advice i received and i tried to follow those rules when taking my exam. Worked out well for me so I hope ut can also be of some help for you.

All the best!

P.S. I would suggest to practice talking into a microphone a bit, as it might take some getting used to.
