My IELTS General score is L:7.5, R:7, W:7, S:7.5. Could you please tell me if 8777 score would really make a difference to my points? On the cic calculator I see a 8 points difference but a lawyer told me 8777 would increase my score by 50 points? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks

Your lawyer is correct. There’s a 50-point bonus when you have 8777 and 3-yr experience.

Appreciate your response but I dont understand why I get only 8 point difference on cic calculator.
I tested the calculator with 26 years old, single, Master’s degree and your score vs 8 in IELTS Listening. With 7.5 the CRS is 414; with 8 the CRS is 472. So there is 58 points of difference.

Thanks, I guess I will be writing IELTS again afterall.

Also, has it always been the same or this is some new criteria they came up with?

This has been around for at least two years.
