should I use MARIA as shown in my PR card or MA. for sponsorship???

Hi there!

Im about to sponsor my husband in the Philippines..but Im confused what should I follow regarding my name. Coz originally Im MA. VANESSA as shown in my philippine passport/birth cert/marriage contract but when I came here to canada, the immigration changed it to its full version MARIA as shown in my PR card and governments IDs... Do I need to follow my doc. here in canada or philippines in filling up the forms. Hope you can help me!thank you!

I think there should be no problem on the sponsor part. Use the name that is reflected on the ID that you will send them along with your app. As long as they can identify you, I don't think there would be any problem. In fact, they will only look at your eligibility to sponsor, and all the bloody scrutinization will be on the sponsored person part.

used the same name as on the pr so that cic could confirm that you are really as pr of canada and get your file
