Hey. So I'm from the states and I've been an international student in Canada for almost a year now. As you all know it's very expensive to study as an international student. I've been paying $6000 per semester, and next year I was going to try to transfer from a college to a university, but then I'll have to pay twice that amount. All my savings is gone, all I have now is enough to pay next semester's tuition, and I am working, although I'm not saving that much money lately. But it seems like by next summer when I apply for the fall semester and apply to transfer to university, it doesn't look like I'll be able to afford it. And student loans are usually disbursed after starting school. The other thing I'm becoming concerned about is the amount of debt I'm accumulating. Based on what I've already borrowed, I already owe over $10,000. The only way I'm able to pay for school now since my savings is gone is with student loans. Which means I'll just accumulate even more debt in the long run. I could just go back and finish school in the states for much cheaper, or I could stay up here and try to survive on student loans and whatever I make from working. I like Canada and I don't want to go back to the states, but what do you all think I should do? In Canada I may be financially stressed out but I'm emotionally happier, but in the states it's financially easier but I'm unhappy.
