Not sure whether or not to send original or photocopy of my marriage certificate to CIC. I am scared if I send original they will lose it then if they deny my application I will have no proof of my marriage to my spouse. Please help.

What do the country specific guidelines request for? I believe some request originals and others say photocopy, and others want a notarized/certified copy etc.

The country is Afghanistan and yes it asks for original but I'm really afraid of them losing it.

If it says to send original, you must send the original. If you refuse to send a document they explicitly ask for, you risk your application being refused, and having to start again from scratch.

Send the photo copy of Farsi one and you have to send the original of translation one, that's wat I did!

We ordered a few original copies so we had an extra one to send, but as others stated, it's best to send the original as it is what is requested.

Inland checklist states they want a photocopy.

Send the original it beats getting your application sent back

Having your application sent back is generally a result of not following instructions. The instructions say photocopy explicitly.

You probably shouldn't offer advice that is directly contrary to what CIC/IRCC explicitly asks for.
