Should I prepare police certificate from a country where I stayed for 6.5 month with a 1 week gap?

I've stayed in Poland from the 1st of March to 8th of September, but spent 7 days in May in the USA. So, in total it is a little bit more than 6 months, but the rule is saying that "... 6 months or more in a row". For me there were 2 periods in a row: 2.5 months and 3 months. Should I prepare certificate from Poland anyway?

You should just get it in advance. It's such a hassle when they request it and you don't have it on hand.
