I have five main questions to request your guidance on. Would be really helpful if seniors and fellow PR holders who have recently applied for PR renew can put some light on the below queries.
1st - I have been scanning some of the threads on this portal regarding issues being faced by many fellow PR holders in renewing their PR online.
Issues like AOR not received on time, no update on the status and frequent "Incomplete Application" error.
I was inclined to submit my application online as I was under the impression that this way tracking and status update will be faster and efficient.
But now I am confused if it's really a good way to proceed. Please put some light on it as I am really confused here.
2nd - the online application form is bit confusing or maybe it is to me. The offline application requires details/photocopy of your Passport as well as existing PR card. The online application just asks for the UCI number. No other details, especially Passport related, is being asked there. Just wondering if this will cause any problem post submission.
3rd - Also the document checklist that is mandatory, should I just save it in Adobe Acrobat and then upload it or should I print it, scan it and then upload the scanned page?
4th - The digital photo upload, should I upload the digital copy taken from the studio or should I click photo of the hard copy and then upload it? I am confused here because the photo upload section also requires uploading of the backside of the photo. If I upload digital photo, how would I upload backside of it? Or does it mean I upload the digital photo and then click the backside of the hard copy and upload it? Please confirm.
And 5th, there is a section in Online Application "Immigration History" section where they ask bunch of questions. Most of the genuine PR holders will say No to all those questions but the last questions stumped me.
Have you ever been issued any of the following documents?
1. Travel Document
2. PR Travel Document
Now I was under the impression that the Travel Document is what we Indian call Passport. So I am being issued Travel Document. Does it mean I need to check this box and if so, what should I write in the box that appears after clicking it?
