Hi,

i need some help with my PR card online application photo upload. I am aware of the specification but how do i upload the photos -

  1. Should i take the scanned version of my photo from the studio (front side) and upload it, for the back side, i take a scan of physical photo with my name, date and studio address mentioned.
  2. Or, should i take the physical photo and scan both side.
Why i am confused it that scanning a physical photo and the actual scanned photos can be of different sizes (mainly the frontal view).

Request guidance from someone who has done this

Option number 1

So ask the studio to provide you with both a printed photo and a digital one, keeping in minded IRCC photo specs - any professional studio should know it it's the same as the passport photos.

Upload the digital front side (the one u got from studio ), then scan the back of the physical photo ( please write name of applicant and DOB) and upload that

Has anyone noticed that the updated instructions for online application (updated on 2023-07-07) says: "If you're applying to renew your PR card, provide a photo of your destroyed PR card"?

It's strange cause the instructions for paper application states: "If you're applying to renew your present card, you should keep it until you get your new card and include a copy of it with your application".

Am I reading it wrong?
Does anyone have an idea why is it different depending on the type of application, paper / online?

Thanks
