Should i accept PNP in case i have chance to get ITA with my current point?

Hi Folks,

Need your help.

I have got provincial nomination from NS. They have asked for express entry profile ID. I am thinking that, the way express entry draws are going on i will get ITA without a provincial nomination very soon. Will it be better if i don't accept the NS nomination and wait for general ITA with my current point ? This is because provinces might have some rules of staying in that province for long term. Its better to take the opportunity of staying anywhere in Canada rather than in a specific province.

what you said is true.. if u get pnp u will have to stay there for some more months.. but if u don't have enuf score for express entry, it will be better to hang on pnp..thus u can make sure that one day u will be pr.. my friends in Manitoba got pnp after express entry system has launched and their lawyer advised them not to go for express entry (reason unknown).. so they are doing paper application..

hi,

my score might not so good actually. Its 336. But i am assuming to get an ITA as the required score is getting down gradually.

have u applied for pnp? Please go with it then.. i don't think that you will get invitation in near future..

Yeah Snehan..u shud go with the PNP...dnt wait for cut off to go down to 336...it may never come down tht low...

336 don't wait for it as I think it will not go below 400 go for PNP

Did you apply for NS or they just selected you via EE? Is there any time frame within which you have to accept the NS PNP?

If there is a time within which you have to send acceptance e.g. a couple of months then you might want to wait for sometime, else I feel you should go with NS PNP; it will at least give you PR after 2 years. The cutoff score is very very less likely to come down to 350ish level. (just my opinion)

when did you apply for NSNP? how long did the process take? I submitted my application in March, and I still haven't had any contact from their side yet!

Anyway, my advice would be to accept the nomination! Your express entry score is not so high!

Hi,

My application reached to NS on 15th January. And got the mail from them on 1st april. I think your chance is low as they will confirm only few applicants.

The score should even come below 300 i guess. Otherwise how they going to take 50,000 + people for fswp !! just an assumption.

They announced it on January and its already too late to apply because they are going to nominate very few people.

Yes, they accept without job offer. Job offer is not related to provincial nomination. In express entry you get 600 point if you have a job offer or a provincial nomination.

Do not wait.. score may not necessarily come that low very soon.. Accept what you have in hand..

It might not be a problem to wait for few months even if there is possibility that the CIC draw score will come below 336. It would be better to wait now rather than stay at NS for long time. I don't know what is the law with provincial nomination. If it is like that i have to stay in the province for 1/2 years or till getting the PR than its better to wait now.

Do you know what is the rules with provincial nomination ?
