I may be a bit awkward at first, but hey they are professionals.. :-)

May be thats the reason foreign doctors have a hard time settling down in Canada! :P No offence to the doctors !

@explorer101,

Can you please name the physician who did your medical test?
Thanks

I was also kindly asked to take off my clothes complitly.
By the way: Do not forget to take your glasses (if you need one) otherwise you cann't do the see-test.

I did medical in US and there is nothing about this except taking off shirts for X-Rays.

What difference does it make as long as the doctor is being professional, caring, sensitive and respectful?

Male or Female, I don't think it should make any difference.
if you are that sensitive and don't want a doctor of a particular sex seeing you, find another one.

Well, if the doctor wants to insert a ginger or ginseng anywhere to check anything then I will have objections of course. :o

I did my medicals in Florida and did not have to strip.

I did my medicals in London, the lady doc was India, young and BLOODY HOT. I would have loved to get naked with her even if it was just for a medical check up but no such requests were made >:(

Guys

This is the funniest thread, EVER!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D :o

Yo,as far as I am concerned no touches,no presses, no insertions,no pulling, no squeezing, no nudity, took place. So do NOT worry yourself off,but then, if your DMP directs you to do any of the above, then you will have to abide by that, since before the medicals tests commences you will have already paid your meds fee and you're likely not gonna get a refund,in case you choose not to proceed with the meds. ;D

Is there any list of tests on CIC site?
or simply they ask to visit doctor & it is up to doctor what Dr do?

X-ray, blood and urine test are mandatory from my understanding.

Chest x-ray is looking for obvious heart and lung disease or problems.
Blood and urine test are testing for sexually transmitted disease.
Plus the usually, blood pressure and listening to the heart and lungs, vital signs.

As far as other stuff. A lot of it depends on your personal and family history as well as your age and gender.

Better yet maybe you could call the doctor and ask what to expect? They told me that unless there was a life threatening situation as a result of the exam, you will not hear back from them and they send the results to CIC.

The Designated Medical Practitioner will arrange for the following tests:

- Large PA chest X-ray together with a radiologist's report for any person 11 yrs of age or older.
- Blood test (VDRL or similar test) for all applicants 5 yrs of age or older.
- A Urinalysis (sugar, protein, blood) for all applicants 5 yrs of age or older.
- HIV test for any person 15 yrs of age or older, children who have received blood or blood products, or have a known HIV mother, and all potential adoptees.

I do not see one need to go through what is mentioned in this thread (nude, etc... ).
