Should a spouse who is a sponsor fill the additional family information as well?

My wife is sponsoring me (inland sponsorship). My application was returned stating that it was missing the additional family information IMM5406.
I had already included it filled by me (the sponsored applicant), does this mean the my wife who is the sponsor has to fill a copy as well?

The Principal Applicant (you) fill this out. Include your wife as your Spouse, your mother, your father, and any children / brothers or sisters.

Thanks again buddy. I saw this in the guide

"This form must be completed by:

You, as the principal applicant,
Your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not), and
Your dependent children aged 18 or over (whether accompanying you to Canada or not)."

I was wondering does this apply to my wife in case she is the sponsor. I am just trying to figure out what went wrong with this document that made them return it.

In your case, I think they might have screwed up. But it's possible they refused it because of missing information or a missing signature.

If you read the checklist: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5443E.pdf

Your wife needs to fill out:
- EITHER IMM 5481 OR IMM 1283
- IMM 1344
- IMM 5443
- IMM 5476 (if you want to use a representative -- we signed each other as the representative).

Feel free to PM me if you want me to comment on anything else.

the sponsor spouse does NOT fill out the additional family information form. for application purposes, the sponsor is not a "spouse" or "family member". Those terms are referring to people included in the application also applying for pr (ie: children, parents, when a couple is applying for pr together, etc.)

double check the additional family info form you submitted was not updated since you sent in your application and that it was actually signed. either way, fill it out again, sign it and send it in with a letter saying you are the only applicant, and since your spouse is your canadian sponsor, they do not need to fill it out. if there are any dependents listed in the application seeking PR status, they need to fill one out too.

Can one submit it without added mother father and brothers?
No, you must list all parents and siblings (including step-siblings and those adopted), living or deceased. If any of them are deceased, there is a pull down option called "not applicable - deceased".
