Share your WES timelines for 2017

I have called WES today and waited over 20 min till they picked up. My documents have been under " review in progress" for 20 business days !!! The customer service representative told me its 20 days from the change of status to " evaluation in progress". So it seems that the process takes 2-3 month to have it done.

I think this is one of the worst services Canada can show to prospective immigrants.

Going by that logic, I hope i receive my ECA before 14th. Fingers crossed!!

If thats the case I m doomed... I received my ITA based on my Canadian Bachelors and I did not state my masters, so did not receive any points for it... however after receiving ITA I thought maybe I should get it done "just in case"... you know if I loose points for age and stuff it would be my savior.... oh well....

Go to the FAQ page at WES website. Type "standard time for evaluation", it clearly states "The processing time is 20 business days after receipt, review and acceptance of all documents by WES and payment in full."

I hope they dont strictly adhere to this.

If I knew that they are that slow, I would have done it with BCIT (you get ur ECA in 2 weeks and its almost the same price) or with Albetra assessment ( cheaper and 15 business day)

Tip 1: write a mail to WES asking for report update
Tip 2: write another reminder email for a status update
Tip 3: write a mail to expedite the evaluation process

*Do the any of the 2 above and it works. Reminder mails to WES has worked for me & many of the folks

I sent them an email 3 days ago and they didnt get back to me. They are so annoying.

even if they dont reply, they read your request for sure and it helps. So hold on it.

I finally received my ECA on March 1 but they made a mistake with the name of one school so it is once again under review :'(

I found the best way to reach them, aside from email which took them 3 days to respond, would be on twitter @WESCanada. I posted my complaint for 3 days, the twitter team sent me a direct message, gave them my reference and then a few days after I received my ECA---finally. They take forever and are not very responsive especially with their emails and once again i have to wait until one change is done. Thank god i did it way ahead but i missed 3 EE draws because of them.

These WES guys are so bloody unprofessional. After about 45 days of submission of my documents and status being "Evaluation in Progress" for the last 28 days, they have now sent me an email that certain documents are missing. It feels like I would never get an ITA.

Can somebody tell me that if only the "required" document needs to be sent now or I need to send all the transcripts etc.?

Please guys help me.

Did they mention what is missing?

They have mentioned that the degree is missing and it might just be because it was sent in a sealed envelope received from my college, so i didnt get the chance to have a look at it.

But the point is they should have informed me when they were reviewing the documents. I dont think they follow any such system like wherein they update status as "Review in Progress" / "Evaluation in Progress".

Extremely sad.

Colleges only send transcripts unless you specify it to them to send the degree too and yes they should have informed you on documents review before they switched to evaluation in progress , but hoping you will get it soon .

Wes are horrible. Not when it comes to the result of evaluation but their customer service. You have to spam them by email and on twitter and ask for refunds before they even start responding. DHL showed my paper was received two weeks ago, WES never updated. After I spammed them for a bit more than a week, it miraculously appeared, my status changed and THEN they replied asking how they could help (they had my reference number in all my communication).

My status changed today to evaluation in progress after a month and a half of receiving the documents !!!

You should email them if they are taking too long , they usually update it after one week
