Hi everyone, I need your insight regarding traveling while waiting for P1. I got an additional document request a few days ago and it's not due until around mid-January. Say for instance-I submit the requested document today and then I will be traveling to my home country this week... and say I receive the P1 while I'm in my home country, will there be any problem? I still haven't submitted the requested document because I'm worried of this scenario happening, theoretically speaking. I have an emergency situation that requires me to visit my parents in my home country (I haven't visited since I came here so I would like to extend my stay for a month at least). I plan to travel before the end of the year and return before end of January. Do you have any insights about this? Would you have any advice for me?

Also, I saw this update regarding IRCC extending the exemption for IMEs to 2029: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/eligible-low-risk-applicants-continue-benefiting-streamlined-immigration-medical-examination-requirements.html - I suppose this also covers IMEs on PR applications submitted before they extended the policy?

Thanks for your advise and insights. Much appreciated!

No updates whatsoever for the BOWP application, applied on 8th Sept 2024 (1st Sep AOR)

Same GCkey statuses too
I got 2 BVL (Biometrics Validation Letter) correspondence letters for the BOWP/SOWP in my GCkey yesterday morning. Both the applications have the FD dated December 23, 2024. Nothing after that. Stressed out on if it's approved or not. They could have just issued our eCoPRs but no they just had to give us a minor stroke right before the holidays. It's a major clusterfuck at the moment! :(

Hang in there bro! These should be approved! I think in general due to the holidays there is a processing delay but this stress is too much :')

Hello Everyone,
Below is my timeline for Express Entry PNP Nomination (FSW):
ITA = September 9 2024
AOR = September 21
BIL = November 19
Background Verification = In Progress
Eligibility = Not Started Yet
Visa Office = Sydney
If you have a similar timeline or the same visa office, please feel free to comment below—I’d love to connect with you!
Additionally, I’m planning to travel back home for a couple of months in February. I’m unsure whether being outside of Canada during this time could cause any delays in the process. I’d greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions you can provide.
Thanks
