Hello sir, my spousal PR file is in process. I submitted my file on 21 Feb 2024. my biometrics were done on 10-April 2024 but I haven't received my medical request yet. What does this mean?
I think its is better for you to post this question in this page - "February 2024 - Outland Spousal Sponsorship" , cause this page is for those who applied on September, Thank you
Update to this-Just wanted to share my timeline - hopefully it helps. I've been following this forum closely while our application has been processing.
Outland Spousal Sponsorship - USA applicant.
Application submitted: September 28th 2023
AOR: November 28th 2023
Biometrics Request: November 28th 2023
Eligible as Sponsor: November 29th 2023
Medical Request: November 30th 2023
Both Biometrics and Medical completed mid December
Pre-arrival Letter: January 17th 2024
Passport Request: April 15th 2024
Sent passport and other docs April 18th 2024
Not sure how long the passport stuff goes, and if there is anything else after though before my partner can move to Canada!
Yes, it’s a good idea.Hi guys,
Two things that I am wondering if I should raise a webform for to come to the attention of the Case officer. PA file is currently with the Singapore VO, Bio and meds completed and stuck at BGC and Eligibility in progress since mid-Jan 2024.
- I am planning to visit the PA (outside Canada) for 5 weeks in June. It’s been too long without her, I know Sponsor’s (PR) shouldn’t travel but.. also travelled to her once in Jan for 4 weeks (before I knew of the rule)
- Provide a bank statement of our Joint account that obviously has way more history and could be put on an official bank letterhead. Initially the account was only about 2-3 weeks old and not much history, also wasn’t like an official letterhead although it had all the info and the bank officially sealed it too.
Question is if it’s a good idea, maybe it’ll help? and an added bonus is things might move forward? Would you have done it too?
Thanks for the help in advance.
Congratulations!! Sent you a DM with a few questions, I am in the same boat with my partner now waiting for background....Update to this-
Received COPR (and other docs) today (May 3rd), we are officially moving my husband to Canada!!!
Did you try getting GCMS notes? It seems too long to not have any new updates at this length of time.Any Update this week?
No, I did not do that. Doing now, have to wait 30 days for a reply. I feel puzzled and annoyed.Did you try getting GCMS notes? It seems too long to not have any new updates at this length of time.
Neither good or bad. It's always a requirement to submit a document that is NOT expired. "We are reviewing the additional documents you provided." means they are now looking into the newly submitted document. Your background check might get cleared soon if it goes well. IRCC would most of the time ask for a renewed document if it goes past expiration.Today I have this update on Gckey.
My background check was N/A since March 20 to May 21, 2024. Today it is change to "we are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information "
Review of additional documents" section,
since March 20 to May 21, 2024 "We need more documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details". no document requested between time period.
Police verification certificate was expire and IRCC requested new police certificate back on November 2023, and submitted on December. Today Change to: "We are reviewing the additional documents you provided."
it is good or bad does anyone know?
Thank you.
Thank you for the response. I received a pre-arrival service letter today. Is that to say the application is all good?Neither good or bad.
