Based on the current trend, we should start receiving our AOR by 3rd week of November. Site says it’s processing July 14 week, but many got their AOR until July 30. Also the online applications are being processed quicker than paper. Good luck to everyone including me.

Where is the data for "online applications are processed quicker than paper ones"? I mean how do you know? I thought both are going at the same pace lately.

There is no data to prove this. I guess people are guestimating based on the recent trend of August Online applicants already receiving their AOR.
Given the fact that online and paper-based are two very different means of applying for Citizenship. There is a fairly high possibility that these applications are processed in a different way (at least the initial few steps).

Hi, It’s based on the trend in the AOR received for July 2021 and August 2021 applicants. Most of the online applicants received first and then slowly paper applicants started receiving as wel. Again this is a guesstimate based on the trackers out there for previous months .

Yeah, as I had mention in one of the posts that currently there is no advantage or disadvantage of online vs paper. It seems same atleast for now.

Does anyone know if someone got his citizenship through online application yet? what is the process exactly? and do you have to be in Canada to send them any required documents or not?
is everything online or there is a paper based process in the middle?

Find out if you can apply online for Canadian citizenship: https://citapply-citdemande.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/screening
To apply online or paper follow this: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...itizenship/become-canadian-citizen/apply.html
You have to be in Canada to apply...

Thanks! I just need to know if I have to be in Canada to take the online test?
No you do not need to in Canada, but when you receive the invite for the test you have to inform IRCC that you are out side of Canada they need to provide you the go ahead to take this test

I applied on paper and due to covid I did not travel and our passports were expired. I couldn't get a new passport due to overload in the embassy taking 2 months or more to get a new one. I hope expired passports do not make an issue for my citizenship application.

Besides, I sent oue application using Canada xpresspost from Toronto. It was a nightmare the tracking number was stuck being processed in a center. After a month of calling them 7 times, 2 hours, multiple emails (un-answered), opening tickets left without an answer, I finally asked one of the customer service to kindly connect to a manager. She finally accepted to talk to me. The manager said they have a contact at case processing center sydney, NS, to ask if they received it. After 24 hours they responded it was received.

I wish the xpress canada post could be tracked normally instead of all the worry and stress I had.

I prepared all documents for our family of 4 and put everything in a separate folder for each member bought from staples and each folder had segments marked for application form, photos, payment, pass copies, birth cert, IDs ... to ease the job for IRCC employees.

I really hope that I get the AOR soon to make sure that they have received it

If @rajkamalmohanram has issues importing applicants to the excel file, I can write a code to extract all applicants written their status from this forum and other topics in this format and put them in an excel file in 24 hours.
