Hi @jbourne, IRCC will send the Oath instructions 1-2 weeks prior to the scheduled oath date. If you don't receive an instructions email by October 19th, contact IRCC right away to ensure you don't miss the appointment for oath.

I am scheduled for Oath on October 12th and still awaiting instructions from IRCC.
what is the means to contact them ?
they are notorious of not answering the calls and their webform take forever.
its one way communication with them

Well, as you specified above, we only have 2 options - Call and Webform. Worst case scenario, if you don't get email from IRCC, contact your local MP for assistance. I don't know what MP can do except inquire regarding the delay.

Also, we should be glad that we are almost at the end of the process. At least our applications are not stuck unlike some individuals in this thread. So be positive (not talking about blood group here LOL). You will receive email instructions from IRCC in 1-2 weeks prior to scheduled oath ceremony.

Montreal! But you didn't get passport copy request right? I am wondering how much time this request will slow down in my application, I have seen some people having 2-3 extra months due to this.
I didnèt receive that yet.

Good luck.
I have two questions please:
1-is the request just for your eligibility period? or till the request date?
2-Have you not sent the passport copies when you applied in September? I would like to know if it was not submitted at that time or do they ask for the copies again.

Many thanks
Hey, 1) I have no idea, they don't tell you why they just asked for it 2) I don't remember if online applications ask for passport copy, but if it does then yes I sent it

Did you ever contact the office?

Nope, never. Didn't even use IRCC helpline or webform. Luckily, all 4 applications (1 study permit, 2 work permits, and 1 PR) were processed without any issues and in an acceptable time period. Very close to my 5th application as well (citizenship, processing time will be around 1 year and 18 days once oath is completed on Oct 12th). :)

Thanks. I got my tested completed in June 2022 but got no updates so far. I don't know if it makes sense to contact them via email.

I suggest you contact IRCC using webform first. Pretty sure that the respond will be very generalized e.g., standard processing time is 27 months. If you are looking for citizenship asap, then contact your local MP re: delays and the stress this wait if causing you. They will inquire about your application and give you a bit more detail than standard IRCC response. For urgent processing, I think there is a process for urgent processing of already submitted application.

Read this : https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...p/become-canadian-citizen/apply/urgently.html

Not sure what your timeline is. Is your background, prohibitions, physical presence and language requirements all still in process in your tracker?

Hello all, received the Notice to Appear today via email. Scheduled for video oath ceremony on October 12th.

Email address from which I received this notice (for anyone who is interested to know) :
DN MB SK CIT Ceremonies / Ceremonies CIT MB SK RN (IRCC) <IRCC.DNMBSKCITCEREMONIES-CEREMONIESCITMBSKRN.IRCC1@cic.gc.ca>

I am a Waterloo (Ontario) resident. So, not sure why my application was being processed in any office other than regional IRCC office. Maybe because of backlog at Scarborough and Niagara Falls.

I hope you all get some good news too, very soon.

@ecekid good to know that everything is in progress. Hope you hear good news soon.
