Thank you for responding! Realistically, how many days do I need to prepare for the test? My baby is due on the 15th and I would like to get the test out of the way :D Timing!!!

Hi everyone, I opened the tracker today after several weeks. The background check is complete, and I have been asked to apply for the citizenship test between June 10 and 30 (my timeline: application sent in Sep, AOR received in Dec). My question is that I haven't received any instructions. Do they come in mail or via email? We moved to a different province. I submitted a webform to indicate the change of address but never received any confirmation. Thank you.
I received the instruction email the first day of the test window.

I took my test today and aced it 20/20. l’d say just read the discover Canada 2-3 times, plus common sense you already gained through years of living in this country should do it. Best of luck!

Just completed my test today. Any idea how long it takes from test completion to Oath Ceremony on an average?

very generic question, can take you as little as 2 months up to 1 year+, if you're BGC are completed! you are on the hook for 4-5 months (each case is quiet specific, timing is based on average cases followed). Congrats on your test & Good luck!

My tracker is updated today that I completed the citizenship test. I think I read somewhere that once you completed the test the tracker will be updated but it doesn’t mean that you officially passed the test, whether you pass or not it will still updated as completed and when I disinherited the test there was a message saying it would take 1 month for them to assess the test whether you were cheating or not, I think that’s why it delays the next step. I’m expecting I won’t hear back from them for another 2 months at least.

Ditto! No email but tracker says test invite for June 10- June 30.

Question- I need to take the test outside the country. I've read that I'm supposed to email the processing office "within 24-48 hours" to inform them about this situation. Does this time start counting down from now, or when I receive the email?

What happens next, will they acknowledge my email?

Thanks for the support everyone.

I took the test couple of days ago from outside canada. You need to wait for their email and reply by another email with ‘outside Canada’ as subject. They answered me the next day and allowed me to do the exam.

UPDATE:

I got the Oath invite email asking me if I consent to join the Special Ceremony on July 1st that is going to be broadcasted live on YouTube, social media and If I am willing to speak to Media about my journey or any other questions. I gave my consent. ( Its Halifax office. previously I mentioned Edmonton but that was incorrect for just Oath invite)

I am usually a very shy person however I am gonna do it as I can keep it as a memory in future. Very excited & nervous at the same time.

Now waiting for the final email confirmation.

Best of luck everyone....

Thanks for the advice. So I reply to their email and change the subject to 'outside canada'? Do I need to explain why I can't return for the test?
