Hi Guys new here, add me to the spreadsheet please

Application type: Online

I let IRCC know about an upcoming vacation outside of Canada (3.5 weeks) but largely only because the next stage of my application would be an invite to take the test, and I wanted to ensure that didn't occur when I was away. I don't know if it is a mandatory requirement to let them know unless your absence would affect your PR status.

Thanks. Did you inform via a webform?

I applied in oct 2020
AOR jan 2021
Biometrics june 2021
Test nov 2021
Oath mar 2022
Got my passport mar 2022

i am truck driver. It took me so many days to figure out my travel record. Used to have paper logbooks record prior to 2018, and got my tractor crossing details from my company i worked for 2020. But i did not have record for 2019, i matched entries on my passport with stamps and made some estimates from credit card details and other records……
I heard some people get the travel record from the border cbsa but i decided to do it myself.
One of my friend attached a letter with his application mentioning he works as a truck driver and does not have the record but immgration returned his file and told him to attach travel record with estimates. And he did it as he was told and he got his citizenship

Not the only one. I know someone who is 2022 app and waiting for ceremony. I am waiting a little bit longer before sending a letter. Like seriously, we need some transparency!
My friend got test invite right after BG completed. Since you already got BG completed, I think you should call them to ask what is your local office so you can follow up

Hello Everyone,
I got the test invite today. Need to take the test between May 13 and June 02. Should I wait for the email? Any dos and don'ts for the test? Especially technical issues like browser, camera, etc. Please let me know.
Background verification completed. Everything else is in progress.

Is it normal that I received the test invite, passed the test (May 1), the tracker updated to test completed (May 2) yet every other category including background check says ‘in progress’? I thought BG completed was before test invite?

Read their booklet two or three times, do as many practice tests online as you can. I didn’t have any technical issues, the most difficulty I had was taking a clear picture of my ID but even that was not too difficult.

Yea, you should get that email invitation by 11-12th May. Like others mentioned, ensure the photo id pic is taken properly through your webcam. ensure you don't open any other tab during the exam.

Good luck!!

Thanks a lot for the information. Do we need to know the names of politicians and political parties?

I passed my exam on a Macbook with a built-in camera using Google Chrome, It was validated. I've heard some people with an external camera got problem as the IRCC website did not get access to it. I would recommend to use a built-in camera to avoid any surprise.
Don't use an Ipad with Google chrome as it's mentioned in their website. They don't support this yet.
Before you start your exam close all the tabs and anything in the background. While you're passing the exam if you leave the exam tab and try to close the other tab you got a message warning you I think. So it's better to do this before you start.
What I also did I trained a bit before I took my exam with trying to check my laptop camera in a video call, I tried to see how clear my ID gonna appear and which position is the best for me to take the exam inscription picture (In the exam the IRCC website gonna ask you to take picture of your ID then your face)
In my video call training I also checked the lights, which light in the room should I keep on and which one is making reflexion or disturbing my ID when I'm taking a picture of it.

This is awesome. Thanks a lot for this detailed information and saving the day because I was planning to use an external camera, now I won't. Do we need to know the names of politicians and political parties?
