I just called IRCC again, AOR in Dec 8 and the agent told me my BG check hasn't started yet and my file is still in Sydney

Also the 27 months processing time is because they are still dealing with old application since 2018 2019 that's why they put it that way. However, she said many applications applied recently are being processed quicker.

Hello, Just have a quick question. do see an update online before receiving an oath email.

I am checking my status online, but don't check my spams email that often.

for me everything completed on April 8th except OATH.
Yes, thats what I hear from most of them. It reflects online first and then email is dispatched (ofcourse it depends on how frequently you check online account;))

True, I saw some Nov. 2021 applicants already got their test invite; that's so fast...

I wonder how can someones application from 2018 or 2019 still be in process. Like why on earth would you need 2 or 3 years to process an application.

IRCC doesn't need that long to process those applications but what happened was those people got unlucky because when the pandemic hit they stopped processing their applications and when they resumed processing applications 2018 and 2019 were placed at the bottom of the pile to reduce the backlog so they're processing 2020, 2021 applications ahead of them which is unfair

I know, even with the pandemic and everything slow down, it should be 1.5 years MAX to process an application. But I guess they take their time, it's been 7 months since I've applied for citizenship in Sep and nothing starts for my application even BG check

I feel for those people and it doesn’t make sense that they started to process applications out of sequence.
Hope with the pandemic now being more or less under control they can ramp up and get back to their service standard of 12 months.

Hey guys. We gave out test on April 10th! Our test still doesnt show its updated to Completed. Fretting and anxious, if others have had the same thing as well! Wondering if i should reach out to IRCC to ask why the status of the test hasnt been updated yet! :(

For your reference,
I took online test on Apr. 07 in the AM and the tracker updated to completed on Apr. 11 (three business days).
Test invite from: IRCC.DNPNTCITScheduling-PlanificationCITPTNRN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca (I heard this is Yellowknife Office).

Thanks for that! Hoping im not the only one whose application is taking ages to get updated!
From my observation, the pattern is pretty random... Some took only one day to see update and the others took several weeks to see update. I would say it all depends on the office that is handling your case.
