I just noticed on Canada’s website that they increased the Citizenship processing time from 12 months to 27 months. IRCC is absolutely horrible.

And proof of citizenship to 17 months. They received a big fund from government to hire more people to increase processing time to 27 months

I was on a call with an ircc agent today. He was super nice to answer my questions and I asked about new processing time. He said the 27 months processing time applied to new applicants so highly likely my application could be processing within 12 months

I have read the discover canada a few times but just wanted to know the amount of details asked in the citizenship test.

Just read the book twice( Start from last chapter if its boring from the first one. history part was boring for me) and practice the tests online( there are different websites offers chapter wise questions and lot of practice tests). I studied hard and was nervous but I can tell you its not that hard. some questions might be tricky but reread the question few times to better understand and eliminate the wrong answers.

I have notes from a person from Facebook group that I can share if you need it. That literally covers everything in the book.

I took them 5 weeks to update my FP. same from Calgary FP were sent to Vancouver.

How were you able to talk to an IRCC agent? I called specifically for the purpose of confirming the validity of your statement, and was told they could not transfer my call due “to a high call volume”. I’ve been trying to contact IRCC for a year and I hear that message every time… and… the automatic message says that processing has not started for applications received after January 2020…
