Based on what I gave seen yes American visa is quick much quicker than other countriesHey, I'm new here. Hope I'm doing this right.
Canadian sponsoring my American husband.
Application received: Sept 19, 2020
AOR: May 5, 2021
SA: May 7, 2021
VO: May 7, 2021 (I think? the SA letter said, "your application will be forwarded to a visa office" - not sure if this means that it has been or if we'll get an actual confirmation after)
Requests for biometrics and medical were received on May 5.
The online portal says that the medical reports have been received but I don't have specific information as we're going through a lawyer.
We were only able to get biometrics done on Monday (July 19) as there were no biometrics centres open in the US and he had them done here. Does anyone know if this will slow down the process, or if they would have already been processing the file?
On the online check there's a "decision made" for SA and "in process" for PA.
Also wondering if this process is usually quicker for American citizens coming to Canada?
Appreciate any information anyone is able to give. Thank you.
You need to travel to Canada on or before Feb 22 then u can move in summer 2022.Hi,
We're quite confused about landing in Canada.
My COPR validity expires in February 2022. We're currently planning to move to Canada in Summer 2022.
Does this mean that we must move by Feb 2022 or is it that I must simply travel to Canada to present my documents before then, allowing us the time to move later?
Thank you. Do you know what the offices is them for obtaining my residency card? Is it issued at the port of entry? You need to travel to Canada on or before Feb 22 then u can move in summer 2022.
No I don't know the answer but maybe someone else here can assist. Also try checking other threats on the visa forum that may respond and have the answer quicker to your questionThank you. Do you know what the offices is them for obtaining my residency card? Is it issued at the port of entry?

It shouldn't cause any serious problem or delay. We were only able to get biometrics done on Monday (July 19) as there were no biometrics centres open in the US and he had them done here. Does anyone know if this will slow down the process, or if they would have already been processing the file?
They process the application for PR card on arrival, but it is issued and mailed later. You'll need an address in Canada for it to be sent to.Thank you. Do you know what the offices is them for obtaining my residency card? Is it issued at the port of entry?
