I had submitted Form 5406 online because I thought I forgot the city and zipcode for my brother.

Anyhow, I finally got an email back and they said that they can't attach that document, that I would just have to send it again after it's rejected.

Hopefully I corrected that form before I sent it and just forgot to save it. But, otherwise I'll be sending my application again after it gets rejected.
Thanks for letting the group know.

What about sending another package now with the same receipt of payment to get a place in line just in case?

Well, lots of August AORs. 6 of them. But it doesn't make sense. They should be going by date, not random. This way December people will get AORs before we do.

It looks like they are processing by groupings. My guess based on the spreadsheet is they opened all the inland applicants for the temp file number then started focusing on outland. It looks like they may be processing outland applicants from Asia now since there are a number of AORs for India, Hong Kong and the Philippines and virtually nothing form outside Asia. If they are bringing in more resources to process perhaps they are processing the batches based on what forms need to be submitted/reviewed to help with getting the new people up to speed on what to look for. I have no real idea how they are deciding but I'm happy to see the speed that they appear to be getting AORs out.

I'll be happy to get an AOR and wait since then I'll know they received the file and it's complete. After that it's just time. Also good to see DMs under a year which gives me hope they can maintain the 12 month timeline listed on the CIC website.

It's still hard to wait but there's at least progress. Much better than seeing a frozen spreadsheet.

Since it seems like it's likely only going to be a few weeks, I'm going to wait. There's a tiny chance I fixed the form before I printed it, but, didn't save it. My spouse and I both looked through everything a couple times. Either of us should have easily spotted the mistake. I reprinted a couple of the forms twice after fixing mistakes, but, can't remember if I fixed that mistake. From now on, I'll be scanning anything I send so that I know exactly what I sent.

I'm betting they are just scanning all the applications like they did for inland awhile ago. They got the whole backlog for inland in the system in under month with at least temporary numbers. It's not like being a March applicant. We'll probably see September AOR's in the next month. I'll just wait rather than accidentally confuse anyone by sending a duplicate application. The application volume is down from normal too- so I'm going to gamble I got it right the first time and wait, worst case scenario I'm likely just a few months behind.

I had a call with my MP today regarding temp numbers. So I asked her by the way why some August people are getting AORs, while March are pending. She informed me that there were literally teams sent in to scan the piles of backlog that had been created so that they could then be worked on by officers who are working from home. Different officers get different piles, with some working faster than others. That's probably why we see some people getting AORs and others not. Same is going to happen for September group probably.

One person was very unlucky. The person's application was delivered on April 08 (04/08) and the IRCC changed the received date to Aug 04 (08/04). Well, mine application was received by them through Canada post on Sept 03 but when I called, they said that it is not in the system.

I had bought the signature service. when you received you should sign. Does your application in the system now?

I delivered through Xpresspost which already comes with a signature included. But they said the signature cannot be done because of Coronavirus.

I called on Thursday and it was not in the system. I will give a call again tomorrow and see what they have to say. Yes, I agree that everything is terrible. If I am lucky, I can get AOR 1 within a week or if I am unlucky, it might take 6 months more. But since it is still not in the system, I am not hoping that I will get in this month.

Same as applicants for March or August.

I wanted to put out there an opinion that I have, I think the CIC is greatly looking into the country’s current situation which has to do with the reopening of VACs in specific areas...like in Philippines, we have 2 VACs here and it just reopened a month ago or two.. what’s the point of issuing AOR and/or biometrics if the applicant has no capacity to proceed at the moment.. this is I think an intelligent point to consider.. just saying..and with USA applicants, it’s hard to say but for sure a lot knows that borders of Canada are still close for all travels from the said country.
